Draft and Growler from Cigar City. Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow color with a foamy white head. Nice sudsy lacing along the glass. Aroma is interesting. It has floral notes and some spiciness but there is also a funky undertone. Flavor has good tartness and spice mixture. Quite refreshing and easy drinking as a good saison should be.

On tap at RnH. Apricot colored with enormous white fluffy head and active lacing. Immediate aroma of honey and hints of undistinguishable tropical fruits. Flavor is heavy on lemon with notes of honey, grass, and pineapple. Unfortunately, flavors and mouthfeel fade quite quickly. Overall, a very drinkable saison, but would have liked some more complexity in aroma and flavor profile.

Simple and little wheaty Saison... Hay and crisp husk in taste. Overall soft and mild.

Hazy gold with a billowing white head. Medium-full body with medium carbonation.

Aroma: tart wheat with some light funkiness.

Taste: tart, mildly funky.

Very good and sessional, exactly what i was hoping for.

glennmastrange (1636) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Tap. Moderate hay note for the malt, light to moderate lemon for the hops, moderate barnyard and musty for the yeast, with hints of apple and white wine. Head is average size, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear light amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and slightly bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a lightly dry finish. A refreshing and light Saison, but maybe just a little too light.

Tmoney99 (7300) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Draft. Poured a cloudy golden color with an average fizzy frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate malt, citrus and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a slick smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium complex sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a friend as a session beer.

illidurit (1300) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - APR 15, 2012
Growler courtesy of markwise, shared at the March iteration of the Santa Cruz tasting series. Pours a dusty bronze color, neither clear nor quite opaque. Aroma is wheaty with pale malts and a nonspecific tart fruitiness. flavor is similar, banana esters recall hefeweizen, while watery maltiness proves somewhat refreshing. Somewhat tart but not crisp on the finish. Drinkable but more wheat/blonde than saison.

Draft @ CCB delicious low abv Saison. Malt is dry as a bone and the citrus rings as juicy to balance the beer. Spice is very mellow and subtle. Love it!

Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 2, 2012
Slightly hazy pale amber. The aroma has some light doughy/bready notes and coriander spice. Spicy at first, with light pale malt character, but then finishing quite tart - tarter than I would consider balanced.

pari6819 (54) - Florida, USA - MAR 28, 2012
To me this is the crispest and cleanest Saison I have ever had. Nice hints of lemon to it with a bit of grass in the finish. Some lime aspects to it that perk up the other citrus nuances. Very easy to drink due to its fantastic balance of flavors.

Pours a cloudy but clear golden straw color, very thin white head. Aroma has light hop with lemon zest and a little spice, white pepper. Nice lemon in the flavor, a little spice again, grassy hop. Thin body with lively carbonation. Very drinkable.
