Handbottle… Farewell to ibrew2or3This beer rocks!… Pours clear and dark with burnt-orange flashes when held up to light. Little to no head. For me, the aromatic highlights are peppery cedar, chilies and gooey caramel. Full-bodied with a sticky mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is sweet and woody and peppery-warm. The cedar seems to have sucked a lot of the cloying sweetness out of this Warmer Winter Winter Warmer Batch #2. Bittersweet, peppery-warm finish. A world class treatment that rubs me in all the right places. Not for everyone. Big time thanks go out to ibrew2or3 for sharing a small portion of his keg with me!

Dark brown pour. Cedar, brown sugar, maple syrup, and a hint of black pepper. Flavor is sweet, vanilla, honey, light hops, cracked pepper. Kick ass beer. Thanks Dave!

Near black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of chocolate, fruit and complex spice, elegant cedar notes, something you could just sit and sniff forever. Sweet malt, toffee, dark sugar flavour with interesting notes of cedar and peppers. Complex and interesting though too sweet

Respectfully handbottled by Ibrew2or3, thanks man. Pours a clear and brown beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel, sweetness, bread and some alcohol. The flavor follows the nose with additional chilli pepper. The palate is sweetness. Overall a really good beer.

This one creeps into the glass like a floppy deep shag rug thrown over a tricycle with dark mahogany body and deep purple hues supporting a nice mocha head. The aroma is rich with sugar coated ripe dark red cherry bits simmering away on a stove, condensed sweet orange juice, sticky pine resin infused malt syrup, some cedar notes and chili pepper meat in the background. The taste is thick with malts and cherry sweetness but quickly cut by a lively level of cedar and chili pepper spiciness. Those notes do a great job digging deep into this beer’s huge slippery sweetness and they create a bold medley of notes that are just holding together. Beneath the bigness of these notes lurks a mix of thick citrus hops, some molasses and chocolate all banging around amid the flavor vastness. This is a fun beer. I dig it although your results may vary.

This one came in second for Barleywines @Dave’s going away for me. Dave thanks for the share. Yet again, no notes were taken and www.r8beer was giving me issues. Great stuff thou, best Wx4 varation I’ve had.

Handbottle provided by Stobbe74, thanks a million. Clear dark brown body with no head. Aroma is sweet, dark fruit, alcohol, caramel, peppar notes. Flavor is very sweet, peppar, burnt caramel, alcohol notes. Thickles a bit on the tongue. Low carbonation probably because its hand bottled. I’d love to taste this "fresh".

Hook up thanks to the Barley Wine master David. Pours a dark red/brown color with a medium white swirling head. The aroma is huge amazing cedar and huge sugary sweet caramel and candies. The flavor is also dominated by sweet candies and caramel, almost sticky it’s so sweet but the cedar is just so awesome and massive. Brown sugar. Damn good.

Big thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Dave, you will be missed. Pours deep brown-amber with a small off-white head. Nose is cedar, sweet malt, earthy vegetal notes, and some hops. Flavor is similar and starts with cedar then calms down into some sweet malt, toffee, caramel, some spicy pepper that fades, then more sweetness. Interesting and more balanced than it seems from the description.
