COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Tocobaga lived off the bounty of Tampa Bay hundreds of years before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500’s. They were potters, tool makers and the only Florida natives to grow maize. The large platform mounds they built are still with us today, with one of the largest found near Old Tampa Bay in Safety Harbor, Florida. Climb to the top, and with a little imagination, you can see Tampa Bay as they did. Graphic design by Eric Swanson. Recipe by Tim Ogden.

Bottle pours cloudy reddish brown with a off white head. Aromas are hoppy with a malty presence. Tastes are bitter hops, some sweet maltiness, but mostly hops. Not terribly complex, but very tasty nonetheless. Overall, please to have tried this one.

Growler from Vine & Barley shared with ck1. Pours orangey brown, a bit hazy, with foamy off-white head and wedding lace left behind. Love the aroma, especially for an amber; grassy, citrusy hops, some caramel back, then more caramelly and the expected hint of tobacco later. Citrus hangs in throughout. Taste brings some pine, some resin, strong caramel but only mildly sweet, mostly dry with some pepper, some biscuits. Some roughness. Finishes quite dry and fairly short, with some bitterness as well. Very drinkable. Big fan of the "hoppy amber" concept - and this is not a bad take on that version of the style.

12 oz bottle gifted by Kan. Thanks! 74th Cigar City Rating. Pours a rich toasty amber copper hue. A good hazy quality, with some glowing sunset edges. A frothy thicker offwhite head sits atop, stays as a decent layer and laces ok overall. Aromas are toasty and toffee, biscuits and sweetness mix with dry floral and earthy hops. Gentle wisps of citrus mix into the fold. Biscuits, bread, and toast. Simple Red with a decent hopping on the nose. Initial is medium bodied with a pretty potent hop front. Dry florals and grass, a good dose of dry grapefruit, gentle pine hit the palate up front. Middle stays dry and earthy, biscuits and touches of toast mix into the fold, a thorough dose of crystal malts. Not as sweet as anticipated, offering a healthy dryness, hopping, and toast. Finish is earthy, some nuttiness, floral and grassy hops, gentle resinous pine. Simple, dry overall. Ok.
