12 oz Can. Tasted on 6/24/14. Beer from Cigar City Brewery. The beer has a reddish brown color with an off white head. The beer has great hop flavor with a good strong malt to balance the flavor. Overall a great red/ Amber beer.

Fresh from the brewery, poured from a can into my new Cigar City pint glass. Pours a medium red color with a pillowy off-white head. Nice retention and lacing. Great looking beer. Aroma is intensely citrusy. Smells like a big IPA. Big bold flavors flood the palate as soon as you take your first sip. Big citrus flavors, along with other fruit flavors such as apple, and a mild malty sweetness. There is a lingering bitterness but it balances everything out. This beer really caught me off guard with how good it is. Very well done, very enjoyable.

Can. Pours clear red with a bit of white foam. Aroma is granny smith apple, cherry, dark fruits. Taste is spicy red - some alcohol astringency, orange and pine notes, ruby red grapefruit, big malt punch in the background. A well made amber.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.355l bottle. Looks really nice in the glass with a thick big extremely lacing almost fluffy off-white head on top of a amber brown cloudy body. Not much to say on the looks really. Its really sweet fruity on the nose with a ton of ripe sweet fruits. Thick juicy peaches, some fermented mango, piney hops and a thick malty base. Smells really inviting I have to admit. Doesn’t taste bad either. It is perhaps on the sweet side at first, but the piney really branch bitter find is equalizes it nicely. I get again lots of ripe old fruits in the taste. It has a really strong and powerful malty base providing it a near fudge like caramel sweetness. Pine cones and a little yeast finishes this one of nicely. Almost a nutty like yeastiness in the finish. Yeah, I quite enjoyed this one. 07.10.2013

Drank straight from can. Not usually a fan of red ales but this is one of my favorites from CCB, Aroma is nice with citrus standing out. Hops are well balanced in this beer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can enjoyed at Ranch-a-Thon XIV. Aroma is fruity and has a nice tropical thing going on with a slight hop profile for a red/amber. Taste is totally unexpected tropical fruit forward, more hop forward beer. Slight lemon but the hops are not bitter at all. Mango really comes out as does some papaya. The only thing that speaks to an amber is the initial taste which quickly dissipates to a great tropical beer.
