The Tocobaga lived off the bounty of Tampa Bay hundreds of years before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500’s. They were potters, tool makers and the only Florida natives to grow maize. The large platform mounds they built are still with us today, with one of the largest found near Old Tampa Bay in Safety Harbor, Florida. Climb to the top, and with a little imagination, you can see Tampa Bay as they did. Graphic design by Eric Swanson. Recipe by Tim Ogden.

Can: The aroma consists of moderate pine, herbal notes, light toasted caramel, and faint fruit. It pours a hazy dark orange with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. There is some very fine webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel and fruit. The finish has moderate pine, light grapefruit, and light toasty herbal notes. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

Pours a clear copper with decent head. Aroma is floral upfront with tangerines and and caramel malt. Taste follows the aroma with the caramel malt more upfront in the sip. Hoppy floral pine bitterness mid and back end of the sip. Awesome Brew!

Not so impressed. Good to drink and nice aroma. Not much of a thickness in there but enjoyable in all.

Dark red pour with beige head. Aroma is malty with pine. Taste is sweet malt with earthy hops and fruit. Pretty solid red ale.

"An imperial red, as opposed to an amber, but ironically lighter in color. the hops are lively and spicy in this one, though, and I love the sweet malt/bitter balance. well done."

Reddish/brown color. This is more full-bodied and flavorful than the average amber ale. Medium bitterness and nice citrus notes. Fairly sweet with some caramel malt, dark sugar, and a little dark fruit as well. Thick creamy head. A fine beer and one of the better examples of the amber ale, a style that I typically steer clear of.

Cloudy brown pour with a half inch reddish white head. Juicy grapefruit and zesty citrus rind aroma, salty pretzel too. Tingly zesty foamy mouthfeel, average carbonation, really clean finish. More juicy grapefruit and zest in the flavor, no amber hints to speak of. Very good and refreshing hoppy beer.

This beer is a home run. IPA, check, butter-check, a bit of sweetness without an overwhelming sugar sweet taste to it-check indeed. Graphics on the label? Ha? They missed the boat there. Nice alt to dog fish 90. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can to shaker. Clear copper. Big fluffy off white head. Piney hop aroma. Nice malty amber body with big but not overpowering hop presence.

Can. Pours a pretty clear copper with a tan head that stays. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, and dark fruits. Taste is sweet, but not overly and follows the nose with possibly some mossasses. Medium body and well carbed. A nice bitter finish to it as well.
