COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Tocobaga lived off the bounty of Tampa Bay hundreds of years before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500ís. They were potters, tool makers and the only Florida natives to grow maize. The large platform mounds they built are still with us today, with one of the largest found near Old Tampa Bay in Safety Harbor, Florida. Climb to the top, and with a little imagination, you can see Tampa Bay as they did. Graphic design by Eric Swanson. Recipe by Tim Ogden.

12oz Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium caramel brown with a small (1 finger or less) off white rocky head that reduced to a large puddle and medium collar, with very good streaky lacing. The aroma was of a light bread malt, pine and citrus hops and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit) and a mild fruity ester. It tasted lightly bitter with a nice malty sweetness, a hint of caramel and a slight fruitiness early on, and then it became very hoppy with a big grapefruit presence towards the end. The flavor was about average in duration with a slightly sweet hoppy citrus taste that was left to hang out a tad longer. Mouthfeel was almost medium in body and dry in texture with a moderate carbonation. Overall this was a brew that possessed a bold hoppiness with mild fruity sweetness and a smooth drinkability. This one a really enjoyed and plan on drinking again...

Can. Man dig that crazy aroma! This is a seriously good smell. I really like the mix of floral and citrus hops, touches of orange fruit, flowers, grass. Flavor was might not quite up to par with the nose but still fine. Light, bready with a lemon rind hop flavor. Hints of cereal grain. Semi-dry, very very drinkable. They called it a red ale I bet because itís red. Foamy khaki head, lots of lacing. This is the highest rating Iíve given in years.

Poured from can into pint glass: Pours deep amber with a nice white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, pineapple, caramel, and a little pine. Taste is sweet malt, lots of tropical and pineapple up front, and a piney bitter finish. Medium body, nice carbonation, this is a fantastic beer.

Pours a reddish amber with a medium off white head...nice lacing and retention. Aroma has earthy hops and tea notes...some slight caramel maltiness. Flavor has some doughy maltiness and earthy/tea hops...some piney/resinous notes...just a bit of citrus and hoppy or wheaty spice. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry earthy/piney finish.

Can: The aroma consists of moderate pine, herbal notes, light toasted caramel, and faint fruit. It pours a hazy dark orange with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. There is some very fine webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel and fruit. The finish has moderate pine, light grapefruit, and light toasty herbal notes. Itís light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

Pours a clear copper with decent head. Aroma is floral upfront with tangerines and and caramel malt. Taste follows the aroma with the caramel malt more upfront in the sip. Hoppy floral pine bitterness mid and back end of the sip. Awesome Brew!
