Scopey (5511) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2013
Tap at CCB. It pours pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is fresh grass, floral, varnish, pine, potpourri and parma violets. The taste is bitter-sweet, floral, potpourri, light astringency, pickled lime, perfumed, soft fruits and event bitterness with a dry, floral finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty nice on the nose, but too much like air-freshner on the taste. Decent nonetheless.

Pours a clear gold on tap with thin white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of bready grains and a nice citrus hop back end. Taste follows with a nice clean finish. Very drinkable pale ale.

jredmond (5025) - Manhattan, New York, USA - APR 21, 2013
Draft at CCB with Linh and Maggi. Pours a clear yellow golden body with light haze and minor white lacing. Aroma is crisp citrus hops and nice cedar. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of lemon peels, citrus hops, slightly earthy, floral flavor, light grass and cedar. The cedar treatment is much more muted here than the other humidor offerings. Wouldn’t mind throwing a few of these back to loosen up before a flight.

The aroma and taste of clove was overwhelming in this beer. I felt like it would be better suited for cooking.

TheAlum (5205) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Draft on tap at Cigar City Tap Room (Tampa, FL). Pours a straw golden hue, summer sunshine with mellow haziness, frothy whitish head atop dies to a nice filmy layer, laces ok. Aromas are florals, lemon rind, some nice grassy and fresh earthy hop bitterness. Gentle florals, gumball, and oranges. Some lemon, gentle bready malts, dry straw, mellow clean sweetness. Initial is lighter in body, firmer bitterness creeps up. Some tangerine, gumball, Amarillo like flavors are a touch sweet and fruity up front. Some bready malts, straw, and gentle citrus waft in and out. Middle and backend pick up some nicer bitterness on the palate, dry and floral, decent bitterness. A bit resiny, earthy, floral and leafy dandelions. Firmer bitterness into the backend makes this a solid experience. Kinda runs the gambit from a touch more fruity up front, trailing back to a nice solid bitterness, decent sessionability with a smaller body.

on tap at the CCB taproom .. . pours a light gold .. . deep hay and light cedar .. . medium bitters .. . medium foam .. . solid all around, a really great beer .. . . The word un-blow-upable is thrown around a lot these days.
