On tap at Dahlias, pours black with a really light brown head, no lacing in the glass at all, the flavor has a good amount of lemon and zest mixed in with some dirty socks, pretty strange, the flavor has more chocolate with some funk and barnyard in the finish, the chocolate and the barnyard just doesnít work together well for me though, really weird.

Draft... Black pour with a small, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. The aromatic standouts are deep-roast grains, dark chocolate and banana. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavorís foundation is roasted malts, unsweetened chocolate and banana, with only a rumor of spicy farmhouse phenols and acidity. Finishes singed and faintly tart.

On draft at CCB, pours a dark rown color with aromas of roast, light chocolate, and some light belgium yeast esters. Flavors are the same, light spice with some roast, an interesting take on the style.

3/4/13. On tap at Dahliaís. Deep brown pour with a nice khaki head. Light spice and ester aroma with plenty of chocolate and roast. Lightly estery and sweet flavor with a touch of spice and again plenty of chocolate and roast is popping through. Nice!

Roasty, but very minerally, kind of like a dry Irish stout. Has a bit of brown sugar sweetness, but overall very dry and roasty, not too saisony.

Pours black with very little head. Aroma has anise and some herbal notes...thyme? Sage? Flavor follows suit...mild roast but notable anise and herbal notes. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is roasty/anise/herbs.

Lots of roasted character and barley. Smells the same. I totally dig he roastyness of it. Off for style but Iím totally dig it!

Pours a dark black color, small head, on tap at WOB in West Palm Beach . Nose is wood and smokey with predominant oak. Taste is vanilla and and smokey. Finishes with some mild bitterness. Great farmale. Quaff Score 8 / 10
