UPDATED: MAY 11, 2013 Draft. Deep reddish-amber color with a thin off-white head. This is light, as expected, with caramel, bread, light sweet grains, and a splash of citrus. This is limited but a decent low abv beer to kick back with.

I liked this brew quite a bit. On tap at the brewery. Nose is big malt and grain. Caramel and bread in there, too. Coffee colored body. Flavor is similar. Bold malt and bread aspects. Big flavor without a massive ABV. A winner in my book.

Aroma is somewhat smoky and leathery. Flavor is light on both hops and malts, with a mild woodiness. Pretty good for a Scottish ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Sybarite Pig. Dark amber pour with medium white head. Pilsner glass. Light aroma of biscuit and malt. Taste at first is lacking but then the malt really comes through. The bread and biscuit flavors then come through on the finish. Also finishes very dry with a slight yeast funk.

Tap at brewery. Pours a deep copper. Musty earthy hops and toasted bread aroma. Smooth malty body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nitro. Copper/brown, creamy off-white head. Nose is bready malts, caramel, toffee, super malty. Taste is the same: big caramel, toffee, sweet bready malts. Creamy mouthfeel, smooth drinking.

Pours amber brown with a thin white head. Aroma of chocolate and caramel. Taste is malty, toffee notes. Light and smooth, very drinkable but with a nice flavor profile.

Nitro @ CCB. Pours a beautiful amber with cascading tan head. Nose is crisp malt, toast, malty overtones. Flavor is smooth malts, earthy hops, crisp clean grains. Beautiful beer. Nitro is my favorite version of this. However, the regular version is nice too. I suggest de-gasing it a bit. It was a little over-carbonated.
