3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
Served in a tulip. Pours a slightly murky light orange color with a white head and a decent amount of lacing. The nose is definitely tropical along with a big of peach and citrus. Taste is along the same lines with a dose of bitterness, though it’s certainly not overly so. Mildly sweet. Feel is nice between the two. Drinks quite well and would be a nice summer seasonal.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at BT. Pours a mostly clear deep copper amber with a thinning yet lasting head. Aroma is fruity, juicy tropical hop notes, mixed with tropical juices, pineapple, mango, passionfruit and strange earthy fleshy guava- spicy with some bubblegum notes. Flavor is fruity, caramel sugary sweet malts, lots of amarillo mixed with actual fruit juices, honey, mango, mineral in the finish and not very bitter for an IPA. Still interesting and pretty good.

Tap at Blind Tiger.
Light brown with some off white head. Hoppy aroma with some citrus, tropical fruit, and pineapple notes. The fruit also really comes out on the palate with a light sweetness, along with a hint of bitterness. Light to medium bodied and very smooth, well balanced.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap, RBWG 2010. Pours a hazy dark copper body under a small white head. The nose is bursting with tropical fruits like guava and passion fruit. Some nice fresh tropical fruits make themselves known right away with a fairly bright citrusy hops. Bright and hoppy with some moderate sweetness from the malt and the fruit. Light to medium bodied with moderaate fizzy carbonation. Very enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the brewery. This one pours a hazy amberish orange color topped by a small, bubbly head of off white colored foam. Some drippy lace stick to the glass and then rejoin the body below. The nose is very fruity as expected and pretty sweet with notes of papaya, peach, and mango to go along with the bitterness of the grapefruit and oranges. The malt base is slightly sweet toffee and helps balance things out. The flavor follows suit with the tropical fruits upfront of papaya and mango and some bitter grapefruit. The hops add more bitterness on the backend, but the sweet toffee malt smooths things out. Medium bodied with solid carbonation and very smooth and finishes a touch dry. This is a really flavorful take on the Jai Alai, and I quite enjoyed it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours a dusky orange-amber colored body with a small head of smooth, beige tinted foam. Wet, obtuse splotches of lacing mark the glass, most slowly returning to the body below. The nose is sweeter than expected, showing a good deal of mango and papaya up front, cutting through sharper notes of grapefruit and bitter orange peel. A malt base of clean toffee brings significant balance. Flavors show basically the same, again teetering between toffee malt, succulent papaya, and bold grapefruit, with perhaps just a touch of wild grass. Medium bodied, smooth, and slight drying, the palate is a nice match here. Good stuff.
