Thanks to drabmuh. Served in a SAVOR wine glass.
Pours a clear straw yellow with a thin white head and some spots of lacing. Thin cap. The nose carried some light grain and a touch of stone fruit. Flavor is very grainy with some tannins in there. Far too tannic. Light body. Crisp. Just okay.

750 ml courtesy of a recent trade with askofficerfriendly. Thanks, Greg! 76th CCB Rating.. Pretty impressive for not being in the state since I was 10 years old. Pours a lively well carbonated straw yellow hue. Touches of glowing gold and orange string. Well hazed body with a big cakey white bright head atop. Cakes well, sticks around, laces well. Aromas are wheaty, offering lemon rind, citrusy fruit and mellow fruity hops, a firm apple and wheaty ester punch. Dry and crisp flaked wheat, cereal grains, and bread. Touches of mandarin orange, gentle pineapple, and some gentle banana. Initial is lighter bodied, a touch of girth bringing a firm bitterness for the beer up front. Dry hoppy feel offers a lot of grass, gentle kisses of citrus hops, earth, and that wild nature like New Zealand feel. Grass and florals, quite dry up front and sticking in the middle. Some touches of flaked wheat, mellow apple and lemons kick. Quite dry as we get into the backend. Firm soapy, floral, and grassy hopping with touches of flaked wheat, dry with a kick of soap, dandelions, and mellow touches of fruit and lemons. American Wheat with a firm, even strong, hoppy bitterness, more earthy overall with flashes of lemons that work with some gentle estery touches of fruit, lemons, and bready cereal grains. Fairly clean, pronounced bitterness, yet still fairly drinkable. It’s a solid representation of the style, even above average for me.. But the hop profile could use more complexity and a more vibrant American variety that preaches more citrus and strengthens the nose as opposed to the more bracing and less inviting variety of New Zealand they used.. a hop that has a place but probably not in a more refreshing style like this. A good beer, nonetheless.
