Bottle at Papsø tasting. Pours a light brown-reddish colour with a tan head. Aroma is balsamic vinegar, berries, caramel and a hint of phenols. Flavour is a bit off balance and sharp but similar with the nose and has some wood and dryness to it.

Bottle - Pours murky brown with a thin tan head. Nose is balsamic vinegar, pretty nutty, with light sour cherries. Taste is real oaky, lots of balsamic vinegar with a sour, milky note. Not getting any of the flowers or hibiscus. Soft, fluffy carbonation and a smooth, light body. Good stuff.

Tasted on 5/18/12 from a capped 750mL bottle obtained in a trade. Pours a muddy, dark cola brown with a very thick brown head that recedes quickly to very thin lace. Very odd. The nose is quite sour with tons of vinegar and citrus, herbal, spicy, and floral notes, with some bread malt backing it all up. The flavor is sweet, sour, and tart balsamic vinegar up front, moving to very distinct lemon and hibiscus spice, and just a bit of sweetness throughout. The body is full and sticky with average carbonation and a long sour, tart, spicy, and pretty hot finish. This beer started off pretty poorly for me, but got better as it warmed. At best, it is somewhat reminiscent of Consecration, but nowhere near as balanced.

750 ml bottle. Hazy, deep red body with a big reddish brown head that fades quite fast. Aroma of caramel/burnt sugar, flowers, berries and funk. A very nice funky brown ale with pleasant acidity, sour berries and sweet caramel. Nice and really tasty.

Bottle. Poured a dark purple color. Very carbonated. Aromas of sour funk, berries, vino, vinegar. Taste is ultra tart, lots of sour dark fruit and some other spices mixed in subtly. A little too tart and higly carb’d to really enjoy it. Tasted like a fizzy grap candy soda.

Dark pour, seemed almost a bit slick. Aroma is sour, funky, vinegary, woody, some fruit like pear and cherry and lemon. Flavor had some spice, wood, fruit and lots of tart sourness with funk. Prickly on the tongue, very acidic.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber brown color ale with a nice thick foamy head with good retention and some very good lacing. Aroma consists of hibiscus and tart notes with light funky ester. Taste is a complex mix of tart notes with fruity flavour courtesy of the berries and hibiscus. Sour level is bit more pronounced then I would have expected but not overly so. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Alcohol is not apparent though not sure it is required to have such ABV for this beer. Good, would love to try this one again.
