Overall, a really great beer with a lot going on and the white oak mellows it out enough to make very drinkable.

Draft @ CCB. Pours a deep brown. Nose is spices, rich dark malts, cocoa and huge wood notes. Flavor is a pleasant spicy cedar that tones down some of the sweetness from Improv. The wood notes create an amazing flavor that really makes a beer I’m not overly crazy about anymore into an incredibly nice drinking beer. Great idea.

On draft at Cigar City. Wow. What a tasty blend that I never would have thought of. Pours a light brown with an off-white head. Nose is bread, malt, hints of rye spiciness with lovely vanilla notes that float around the rye and amplify the great qualities in the rye. Flavor is a similar blend of awesome and wonderful. I get bread, rye, and vanilla, with some wood in there also. I think this beer is great, and I would not know it was 9%, but would drink the hell out of it otherwise.
