3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from my brother. Pours a clear peach/Amber color with a medium white head. Aromas of floral hops and wood. Taste is gently bitter with some sweetness. Flavors of grassy hops, some oak, caramel malts. Aging seems to have subdued the hop bite a bit, but not entirely. Force carbonation is obvious. Not a big fan of aging hop forward beers, to be honest. Takes a lot of the shine and brightness away. Rounds it out too much. This is an interesting experiment that works ok as a whole, but prefer the regular non oaked version by a mile.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Light amber body with a giant white head and great retention. Sharp, fresh oak aroma. Citrus hops behind it and something like peaches? I expected sweetness, but the oak has a sharp flavor that cuts through the malt. Hops take a back seat to the fresh oak. High carbonation. Medium body. Sharp oaky bite in the finish. One of my favorite treatments from CCB.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours burnt orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, oak, tropical fruits, apricot, peach, and some grassy hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a moderately bitter, semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty, refreshing, and unique IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Burning orange hue, dark yet mostly clear, with an off-white head sticky as marshmallow fluff. The aroma has aged citrusy hops, dill, sharp oak and dried oregano. Flavor is packed with juicy hops -- orange juice, lime, pineapple -- along with vanilla, caramel and slightly tannic oak. The barrel is smoothly integrated, enhancing the underlying brew in a way I don’t usually find with oak-aged IPAs. Creamy medium body; peppery CO2. Very nice, complex and unique flavor.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Old rating. Love this one. Dark orange-red. Plenty of citrus juicy hops but tempered by s creamy vanilla presence from the oak. Less bitter than most IPA. Some vinous aspects as well. Excellent all around.

Can. Pours murky dark orange with creme colored head that lingers. It tastes like, well, oak.

Can thanks to the bearded TJ. Punch in the face with citrus slight oak notes, orange. Flavor brings the oak forward, really bringing the orange out.
