This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

Excellent. Amber like pour cream colored head. Oak and citrus spicy pine hop aroma and taste. Some melon fruit and grass grapefruit mix. Moderate body and might carbonation. Great.

Can (12 oz) Shared by Marheh @ La Cave ŗ Bulles, thanks! Hazy golden/orange with a small fully diminishing off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is very dill forward at first, but it then settle and the toasted oak, vanilla and citrus takes more place. Itís not really hoppy though. Taste is also dominated by oak and vanilla, some residual sugars, light citrus and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Quite tasty and really different from the regular Jai Alai. In a blind tasting, Iím not even sure I would say this is an IPA... itís more like an American "moderately" Strong Ale. I preferred the Humidor Series Jai Alai as it was more an IPA, but this one is really good too.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2014 Pours a dark golden, finger of rocky head. Nose is floral hops, oaky, citrus fruits, rather mellow on the hop aroma. Taste is much more mellow hop wise than the regular, earthy thing going on, wood, but caramelly, dill, citrus, grapefruit. Really rounds off the hard edges of regular jai alai. Not as bitter on the finish, instead I get a little burst of citrus. Very smooth, I like it but think I prefer the regular jai alai.

Fresh can. Pours caramel orange/brown with white head. Aroma is kiwi, pineapple, orange. Taste combines those with some of that oak background...a peppery note. I didnít pick up much vanilla per the description. Smooth IPA though. Easy drinker.

Insanely good. Copper golden pour with thick off white head. Aroma is perfect. Sweet okay and hippy nose. Taste follows nose with nice bitter finish.

Nice hop character and the oak is very smooth. Good lace in the glass and a nice amber color. The oak adds some sweetness and the palate ends fairly bitter. Nice improvement on the jai alai.

Draft - Light oak, coconut and tropical fruit. Clear gold with a thin beige head. Raw oak, tropical fruit and a woody dry finish. Really nice if you like oak.

Thanks to Whaleslayer719, the best beer mule out there for grabbing this. Can date 4/24/14. Pours a very clear dark orange color with huge white head. Aroma is sweet oak, light citrus, earthy, with some caramel malt character. A ton of oak in the first sip, but not astringently so, more earthy and citrusy hop flavor, smooth malt backbone, well balanced. A lot of vanilla character as it sets.

This is probably my favorite IPA on the market. In addition to the tasting notes that this gets from the regular Jai Alai, the white oak adds another dimension to this beer. Pours a cloudy amber color with white head. You can smell the white oak on the nose, along with vanilla, grapefruit, and a hint of pine. On the palate, vanilla, oak, grapefruit are the most pronounced. The white oak smooths this out very nicely.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2014 Original rating at GABF 2013: Pours cloudy yellow with huge particles, thin head. Aroma is citrus orange, overwhelming floral hops, spicy notes, oak, hint of candi. Taste is pretty smooth, straight up floral hops with a mix of earthy hops, kinda dry with a rye raw malt bite, and oak. Really nice. 4.1 Update rating on 4/12/14: At my place with Taylor and Jake, thanks to Matt and Kristin! Pours bronze-orange, not clear. Aroma is dry watermelon fruit, light fresh oak, dry Melon, musky. Taste is fruity hops, delicious hops I want to drink a shit load of. It is clique but the taste has a distinct oak flavor that is a unique note that stands on it own. A really nice fruity, not yeasty, delicious fruity hops brew. 4.0
