This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

Can from my father (think he bought it at the brewery). Fruity and hoppy smell with oak and vanilla. Similar taste with some dill, which is surprising. The oak gives some clear and interesting flavours. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice!

Can, 355ml. Clear orange/amber with a frothy tan head. Aromas of caramel, floral hops, vanilla, coconut, aged wood. Medium to full bodied, moderate to fizzy carbonation. Thick and oily. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Intense roasted and hoppy flavors into a heavy, spicy finish.

Can poured into snifter. Floral and citrus hop aroma. Faint oak. Tastes more of the same but with added vanilla and wood, like opening an oak cabinet and tasting how it would smell. Pleasant. Nicely balanced wood and hops. Body is medium light with medium carbonation. I really like this beer and look forward to its release every year. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.355l can from 2d2dspuma. This one pours a mildly cloudy golden looking body with a huge really fluffy and really lacing white head. Superbly fluffy actually. Looks like clouds. Smells nice with a little green apple acidity. There’s tones of hay and ripe sweet yeasty fruity. I’m not sure if it’s meant to smell like this, but I kinda like it. Nothing special in the taste really. It’s clearly not a fresh can this. Not bad at all, just a tad un-fresh. Light oily in the mouth and it’s soft on the carbonation. Lots of straws, unmalted malts, wood, a faint yeast acidity and it’s somewhat dry-wooded in the finish. I’m sure this would have been a lot better fresh, bus I still kinda enjoyed this here on by the pool. 10.08.2014
