This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

Can to glass. Pours a deep golden light orange color with an off white head. Has a very unique aroma, with a touch of fruity hops layered with vanilla, oak. Flavor has much of the same. Not at all an IPA. Very unique and very delicious! Thanks BJ!

Pours a light golden orange with big fizzy head. Aromas of resin hop, wood, and a little booze. Big hop and oaky flavor...the oak lends a kind of boozy quality to the beer.

Tap. Craft Beer Co, Clapham. 2nd October. Murky gold. Swirl of dirty, white head. New sawn wood. Grape skin. Orange and peach hop. Taste is woody, pithy bitter. Some tangy, astringent hop. Sweetness on the lips. Finishes long, light bitter. Nice oak. Juicy.

Tap. Pours clear golden with hazelnut head. Aroma is complex. Earthy spice hops, fruitiness, grapes, white wine oak and vanilla. Taste is more juicy, apples, red apples, some old hops, vanilla, peach mango, Dense en over-ripe tropical fruits and mango. White grapes and finish with oak, white whine, most mouthfeel and dry oaky lingering bitternes together with herbal hops. Very interesting!

12 oz can shared by Spencer. The pour is a deep dark orange with a decent white head and a couple spots of light lace. The aroma is interesting. The bright juicy hops from the base beer are definitely overshadowed. The hops are there, but the biggest contributor is the oak. There is so much wood in the scent, it's nearly off-putting. It's just a fresh, green woodiness that's in there, and it takes away from the greatness that is Jai Alai. The flavor is surprisingly citrusy and juicy. The oak takes a back seat in the flavors. The juiciness is just awesome. Light oak and big hops. I'm a fan of the taste more than the regular. The mouth feel is light and good with a nice carbonation and a lingeringly bitter, slightly woods aftertaste. It's pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours slightly hazy golden with a nice eggshell head. Aroma stands out with woody and fresh hoppy notes. Woody hops dominate the flavor while allowing malt and sweet citrus to share the stage. Mouthfeel is average in the fizz and body departments. Oak oak oak IPA!
