COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

Pours flat, copper color. Plum and barn wood. Woody, nutty, vanilla, caramel, followed by bitterness. Not my cup of tea...

Mild aroma and thin appearance with a well balanced taste and warming mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Stunning category-busting IPA. Cloudy pour, which isn't that unusual. Fresh hops aroma (citrus and pine), which also isn't that unusual. But on second whiff -- an uncharacteristic vanilla sweet almost bourbony aroma, which is very unusual for the style. And the taste! There's a nice enough malt base, and some hops in the flavor, but the sweet oaky vanilla from the aroma carries through and infuses the flavor in a dominant but not overbearing way. Later, the bitterness of the style makes itself known, and carries through as the last man standing. I'm not sure I've had a smoother IPA. Hell, I'm not sure I'd call this an IPA after the oak aging! It's IPA-based at least. Regardless of nomenclature, this is one smooth brew, and I haven't had anything like it. Hopheads expecting over abundant hoppy bitterness and purists expecting prototypical IPAness will be disappointed; everyone else will love this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle thanks to cleg via local4local swap 4. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a thin white head. Lots of floaties. Aroma of apricot, peach, pine, and oak. Wow. Taste is very oak forward, some citrus, bready malts, and a resinous/grapefruity bitter aftertaste.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Floral oak aroma. Rich and woody apricot flavors with muted hoppiness. Real tasty.

Hazy darkish orange in color. White head with lots of lacing. Yum, this is a nice brew!! Floral and citrus hops give way to some wood character in the nose - guava? Papaya? Tropical goodness for sure. Taste is excellent - balanced tropical hops, a touch of bitterness some wood / vanilla from the oak.

これは、ビー&# Smells like piña colada Slurpee, dill, vacation, guava(?), freshly painted home - and taste pretty much follows, with a stronger wood presence. Complex and refreshing and satisfying, would bang on the reg. Carl Brutananadilewski would ♥ this.

Pours murky orange with a soapy white head. Aroma is strong nectarines and other assorted citrus. The taste is like biting into a soft juicy peach with wood and citrus notes. This is a very well done and unique beer.
