From old tasting notes. Draft at Fruit in the Room. Pours a hazy golden orange color and topped by a thin white head that quickly fades away. The aroma shows hints of sour guava fruit, huge acetic notes, vinegar, funky sour fruit, and some bitterness. Very sour aroma and off putting. The flavor follows with more of the tart guava coming through to go with some lactic acidity, citrus bitterness, and more funk. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. This was by far my least favorite from that night. Too sour and acetic for me.

Pretty damn boring. Not a lot of flavor, just a lightly tart sour thing like a bland Berliner Weisse. I could drink this for days, but Iím not sure Iíd want to.

Fruit In The Room 2011. Bright cloudy orange color and a tiny white head. Nose is tart lactic tropical fruits. Flavor is sour fruits, but not over done. My only encounter with Lychee was at the brewery that day and didnít really find any of it.

Tap at Cigar City for the BA Hunahpu release. The pour is a hazy peach, pretty much flat from the beginning. Pretty at least. Nose is clearly acetic acid/vinegar. Taste...well lychee is my favorite fruit and this creates a profile more akin to laundry detergent than tropical fruit. Really no carbonation here. Decently refreshing, but still quite harsh on the acetic spectrum. Pretty excited to try this one, much more than any Hunahpuís....but really falling short :(

Pours an attractive hazy orange. Smells highly of lemon zest and tropical fruits - SPICY strong as well. The taste was fantastic, lots of citrus, mainly pineapple and very bitter fruits. This one left the mouth dry and bitter - sour even... very refreshing on a hot Florida day.

Tap during Hunahpu release day! Nose is sour lemons and lemon peel. Acidic nose with some sweeter tropical fruit notes. Poured a pleasing papaya color. Nice and orange with a quickly dying white head. Iím not a huge sour fan but found this one quite pleasing. Not too sour and had some nice tropical fruity notes. I didnít get a lot of lychee (Which Iíve eaten a lot of) but got some tart citrus and pineapple. Pretty nice especially when I had 5 stouts/dark beers prior to this.

9/24/11. On tap at BA Hunahpu. Hazy orange pour with virtually no head. Light tropical fruity aroma with a touch of tartness. Slightly sour tropical fruity aroma with a hint of oaky tannins (not sure if it was actually oaked, but thatís what Iím getting). Nice, but a little thin and not overly sour.

Pour is a very cloudy light orange not much head. Smell is wet mold hay funk tart lemon rinds. Taste is tart upfront like a really sweet ruby red grapefruit fresh grass. Slightly watery towards the end my only complaint.

Sampled at Fruit in the Room 2011. Tart sour fruit aroma bordering on nail polish remover, just a bit too much for me. The sour intensity lightens up in the taste, with nice guava notes but there is still a bit too much sour coming through.
