Brewed in collaboration with Folklore Brewing & Meadery and MOOLA (Malty Orgasmics Of Lower Alabama) Homebrew Club.

Wiregrass Post-Prohibition Ale is described as “a straw-colored ale with a mélange of citrus notes that take your palate on a journey through orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit flavor and bitterness with subtle hints of lightly toasted bread and a delicate whisper of corn”. This brew is a limited release that has been kegged and canned by Cigar City Brewing, and it will only be available in Alabama and in the Cigar City taproom.

Poured from a can. Hazy gold with a frothy white head. Lots of lacing. Citrus aroma. Slightly sweet taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can and served in nonic pin glass: Faintly hazed golden hue with a lasting frothy head. A nice APA, moderate citric and resiny notes, mild biscuity notes but there is something here that I can not put a finger on that sort of smells like dirty rose water or the start of some rotting vegetables. Quaffable enough once you get past the weird vapour.

12oz can thanks to rich. Pours out a hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is great citrus floral notes and a nice malt. Taste is as the nose with a nice hop combo a good malt combo. Very tasty not sure how this collaboration got formed. My only guess would be it was thanks to Douglas.

Can in a local trade. Pours a murky golden orange with a foamy white head that leaves a full frothy lacing. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit rind, hay, some grass, and a hint of corn. The taste is very well balanced and the corn notes come through a bit at the end with a slight sweetness. Light body with higher carb. An extremely easy drinking beer.

Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Smells strongly of a variety of citrus fruits. Taste is a melange of citruses with a soft bitterness underneath. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Cigar City Wiregrass Post-Prohibition Ale finishes with a soft lingering citrus fruitiness.

Pours a clear light golden color with a rich, white, one-finger head. Raw dough and light citrus bouquet. Soft, wet, and a little scrubby texture. Lemon oil and bread flavors. Quaffable, as a good APA should be.

Can... Hazy golden pour with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma furnishes citrus fruits, breadiness and lightly-toasted malts. Medium-bodied with zippy carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet and a hint acidic, presenting citrus fruits and biscuity malts. Bittersweet, lightly-raspy finish with lingering citrus sweetness.

12 oz. can, supplied by hopscotch—many thanks! To long-stemmed wine glass, it pours a Crayola orange with a fluffy whitish head 1½ fingers in length. Smells and tastes of mashed corn, oatcakes, spruce tips, lavender petals, and pond water. Yeast, straw, and citrus hops by swallow. Very drinkable. I felt like I was consuming Wayne Wambles right out of this beer. Enjoyable.

Cloudy honey-yellow color, thin head, aroma of hops and dust, subtle flavors of tangerine, pine, hops, corn, honey, and vanilla... changes a bit from beginning to end... minimal malt and no bitterness... good but not complex.

Brewed in conjunction with Folklore Brewing, a new outfit in Dothan, Alabama. I had this in a can. Poured a bright pale gold with a medium-sized, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is mostly hops: earthy, slightly funky (?!), some tropical fruit, hints of grapefruit. Flavor is citrus (lemon and quite a bit of grapefruit), slight tropical fruit, moderately bitter. Toasted malt and, yeah, maybe, corn. Which too me is rarely a good thing in beer. But this works -- solid, interesting beer. Can’t miss with Cigar City. And can’t wait to check out the new Folklore brewery and tasting room.
