Bottle 25cl. A clear amber brown beer with low head. Nose is sweet and slightly chestnut like. Aroma is very sweet with chestnut quite bitter with a larger kind of finish. Pleasant beer but too sweet and with a very low body.

Hazy amber color; small head. Sweet aroma, perfumy, chestnuts, marron glacés, actually, and light liquor. The flavor is very sweet, with a precise chestnut flavor, and low bitterness. Sweet and pleasant, a bit weird.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of nuts and malt as well as lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, and caramel as well as a light touch of chestnuts. Decent - maybe the best chestnut beer I’ve ever had.

25 cL clear bottle, courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry perfumed malty and chestnutty. Sweet and nutty to caramelish. Lasting sweet and nutty impression into the finish.

bottle, Auchan Illkirch-Graffenstaden. Amber-copper colour, some floaties and a small white head. Aroma of caramel. Sweet, lots of caramel in the flavours, also hints of chestnut-honey. Not too sweet. I’m not normally a fan of that sort of beer, but I enjoyed this one.

Bottled(250ml). -4pack of different La Mousse (Violette, Chataigne, Framboise and Miel) from Geant in Briancon.
Pours a nice dark orange/pale amber colour with huge beige head and pleasant chestnut nose. Sweet malty and strong chestnut taste with notes of alcohol in the finish. Heavy sweetness. Steady sugar sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
