Caramel coloured with a white head. Aromas are caramel, chocolate and spice with some mustiness. Flavours are caramel, sugar and that strange (to me) French whisky thing. Its odd, but OK.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2004 Best before March 2004. Probably 2003 bottle. Pours like a light honey orange tea, with a decent sized white head. Extra clear, filtered. Aroma is standard for a belgian amber, light yeast, some caramel and a hint of hops. Began astringent, dry and harsh with no sweetness and too much sharp carbonation. As it warmed, it mellowed out. Became a slightly sweet, hoppy beer that is probably closer to an American Pale ale or an Amber than a belgian ale. Only the apparent belgian yeast gives some redeeming quality. Nothing special, but it's nice to try a lesser known small brewed French beer. Thanks again for the bottle, Philippe.

Amber coloured beer with a medium head. Light malty and spicy aroma. Light bitter malty taste. A rather neutral finish with a somewhat dry bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2007 Bottled. Hazy orange coloured. Aroma of caramel and vanilla, really liked it. Malty quite complex flavour. Didn’t expect to find a quality brew during a holiday of skiing, but there it was.

Slightly hazy orange amber color, short white head. Strong caramel aroma, some vanilla, very nice. Nice caramel malty taste. Bit sharp palate though. Excellent brew by a good French brewery!

Sweet and malty aroma, some spices, some caramel malt, dry finish. simple beer, wouldn't like to taste a "piste bleu" if it existed.

Hazy brown-yellow beer with firm white head. Spicy aroma. Maltsweet flavour. Middle of the road beer from an otherwise excellent brewery. But it´s definetely not a downhillslope
