Plain looking amber ale with a generally dry aroma that has a touch of malt finish. The flavour is quite odd as it dry and whisky like. Overall quite a poor malt whisky style drink.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2004 Best before March 2004. Probably 2003 bottle. Pours like a light honey orange tea, with a decent sized white head. Extra clear, filtered. Aroma is standard for a belgian amber, light yeast, some caramel and a hint of hops. Began astringent, dry and harsh with no sweetness and too much sharp carbonation. As it warmed, it mellowed out. Became a slightly sweet, hoppy beer that is probably closer to an American Pale ale or an Amber than a belgian ale. Only the apparent belgian yeast gives some redeeming quality. Nothing special, but it's nice to try a lesser known small brewed French beer. Thanks again for the bottle, Philippe.

Bottle, picked up from the Dodgy Deli (Classic Deli) Cowley Rd, Oxford 09-02-07 for 50p a bottle. Amber in colour, this may actually have tasted quite nice and could have tasted a little better were it not for the fact that there were quite a few floaters milling around. Nice fruitiness backed up with some caramel and yeasty notes although that wasn’t surprising as there was quite a bit of this stuff kicking around, I must try this again as appeared quite an interesting beer slightly ruined by too many floatees.

Bottle. Amber with minimal head. Butter (acid), esters, vanilla, fruit - pear, malt, dry finish. Medium-full body. Found the aroma to be slightly disturbing.

27/02/2011 - 50cl bottle @ home - BB: 1/12/11 (2011-73) Thanks to Klaas for the bottle!

Clear amber to copper red beer, off-white soft head, little adhesive. Very faint aroma, some caramel, some hops. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: caramel, herbal and vegetables, a little fruity, even towards exotic fruits (pineapple). Aftertaste: little hop bitter, some citrus. In all a pretty faint beer, more like a "Piste Verte", one for beginners.

Pours a clear cobber. Very sweet with heavy malty aromas. Has a hint of a hint of a hint of fruit. Bready mouthfeel. Extremely short dry and sweet finish. Too sweet. Might be slightly over the hill though exp. date was 01-2007.

(on bottle) An odd beer; I believe it had infections or else the brewstyle is new to me. sweet, funky sent, pale prange colour. The overwhelming finish of peas and cheese, made it impossible to finish. Quite gassy too.
