Pours a semi cloudy pink gold. With a whispy white head. Sweet butery Belgian aroma. Very formidable flavor. Agressive and woody at first, it immediately softens up into a nice, broad maltyness.

Overall this is a very unusal beer that goes down very smooth. It has hints of grape in it and is very thick on the palate. A really good beer that I would recommend. it really didn’t fit the belgian strong ale style to me.

very malty aroma, almost like a sweet wort before brewing. Sweet honey taste with molasses and a good hop backing, bitterness towards the end, some kind of bock.

Golden in colour with floating particles. Smells of orangy crush or tang. Very tangy and fruity in taste. Slight metallic undertone.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours bright gold with a ring of foam around the edge. Lots of tan sediment. Nose is pure sweetness, doughy sugared plums. Taste is surprisingly thin. sugary raisins up front. Light to medium body. Medium carb. Turns acrid in the back of the throat. Overly sweet - no balance. I can’t finish it, its aweful.

Golden, orange pour. Thin head. Very, very fruity. Some spice. Good finish. Unique taste. Worth a try for its uniqueness.

Belgian strong made in France, and they don´t have to be embarrassed, they probably have a much better water in the Savoie than in Belgium. Anyway this ale has many influences from the Abbey style but don´t try more than one if you are going down-hill the day after!

i thought it looked pretty cool. i opened it, and smelled it, then poured it in a bottle, smelled it more, sipped it, tasted it. thought it was a bit too sweet for me, but i liked its color. dont think id go nuts about it, but if someone offered it to me, id drink it again.

Very nice flavor and texture. Smooth to drink and extremely nice in the mouth, but with complex body.
