2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This beer is definitely showing its age at this point. It is brown with a small head of fine bubbles. Nose is mostly oxidized malts and it is lightly tart and cardboardy. I wish I could have tried this fresh but it is clearly way past its prime now.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Don’t relaly think the collobrating brewers relaly cared to make it that interesting. Its a much bigger baltic porter than most, with a bozze note and even some oxidaiton already.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is coffee, cardboard, slightly hoppy. Tastes are cola, coffee, slightly astringent, touch of alcohol and sourness. Finish is slightly thin, but loads of coffee and touches of sour astringency. Decent.

Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours a hazy chocolate brown with a gray head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has a bit of booze with roasted malts and dark grains. Flavor has smooth roasted malts and dark grains with some light booze.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft and bottled. Pours a nice opaque chocolate brown color with a small tan head that quickly disappears. The aroma and flavor has roasted malts, milk and dark chocolate, earthy and herbal hops, a splash of dark fruit, light nutty notes and wood. Medium bodied, easy drinking with a dry finish. Not bad.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle @ home, courtesy of DrSilverworm. Thanks! Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Anise, quite roasty, big dark fruity, plum/prune, dark chocolate aroma. Sweet dark fruity, raisin, lightly roasty, dark chocolate, a touch smoky, caramel, grape, plum, cherry, molasses flavor with a fairly dry finish. Not a big fan.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from 12 ounce bottle bought at The Party Source. Very dark brown color, small tan head, fine firm roasted malt aroma with vanilla and fruit notes, very nice rich malty flavor. My only criticisms are some astringency and a little too much carbonation. Still, a very worthwhile brew that I’m sure is even better on draft.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark beer with some cola colors when held against the light. Short lived frothy brown head. Big sweet malty nose. Lots of molasses and dark caramel sweetness with roasted grains, pit fruit and an almost smokey finish. Nice big malty beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a 1/4 inch light tan head that fizzled away quickly. There’s a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like dark fruit (prunes, cherries, red grapes), roasted malt, caramel, and a bit of chocolate and coffee. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma, it tastes like roasted malt, dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, nuts, and coffee. I do think the aroma is much fruitier compared to the taste, in which I think the bitter flavors are stronger. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit thin for a Baltic Porter, but also smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, it’s definitely worth trying. $11.99 a 6-pack.
