Lightly amber-orange coloured. Big white, nice holding head. Not much to smell. A bit unpleasant fruity-sweet. Strong sweet, a bit soda-like taste and mouthfeel.

Pours a pale hazy golden yellow color. Aromas of yeast, some fruit and spice. Taste is yeasty and medicinal, can really taste the alcohol in this one.

25cl bottle poured into an Orval Trappist glass. Pale gold with a small off-white cap. Aroma is strong candy sugar and bread. Flavor is basically the same. Mouthfeel is kind of thick and sticky. Finish is bitter and a bit spicey.

A clear dark golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of fruits like citrus and orange. malty. The taste is sparkling, fruity with malts. It’s sweet moving over to some bitter. The aftertaste is bittersweet.

Clear golden amberish pour, medium off white creamy head, thick coat of lacing. Aroma of pilsener malts with faint fruits and hops. Nothing special here. Flavour is quite sweet and fruity with a subtle hint of hop bitterness. Lemony hoppy aftertaste. Quite nice.

2010-01-18 250 ml bottle. clear yellow colour. frothy white fading head. taste is not impressive.

Slightly hazy darkish blonde with a very thin white head. Fatty and oily, lots of yeast and straw, something oddly sour and generally dull and uninspiring. Typically bland offering from Alken Maes.
