I’m not too impressed by this Ciney Blonde. Although it has a nice texture it’s aroma is to poor to be really bothered.

Muf zoet citrus broodachtig aroma. Zeepachtige schuimkraag. Zoet bitter met een lekkere bite, makkelijk weg te drinken zonder al teveel diepgang. Doet een beetje goedkoop aan.

25cl, mercifully, supermarket impulse buy. One of many pseudo-abbey ales brewed by one of the big industrial lager conglomerates, building on the carapils-powered Alken-Maes/InBev dynasty of starchy industrial Belgian lagers: cf. Leffe, Grimbergen et al. - - Nose of starched banana peel and industrial sugar, carapils derived caramels and Honeypops glaze. Taste adds some industrial intimations of apricot jelly to that, corn syrup, as well as some surprising citrussy hops, its only redeeming flavour. Unclean, sugary palate, Sprite-like dose of tooth decay. - Dead in terms of a yeast profile or malt complexity. Hopefully extinct once new schools of natural brewing gain more impact...

Heerlijk fris blond bier! Echt perfect bij warme temperaturen. Lekkere zachte fruitige smaak.

Bottle from dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is golden/blonde colored and pours a stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is nice palate of flowers, citrus fruits, a nip of honey and caramel. Also some malts and spices are noticable. The taste is light sweet and has also a light body, more a little watery. Finish is malty and spicy and light bitter. Not bad, but there are better ales.
