Decent blond beer. Looks (and tastes) a bit like a tripel. Drank a 25 cl bottle at home. Nice head, nice aftertaste, sometimes a bit alcoholic scent. Maybe it’s better than decent, it’s actually pretty good.

Bottle at Le Corbeau. It’s a hazy golden beer with a dense white head. Pale fruity and hoppy aroma. Light yeasty notes. Malty and spicy yeasty flavor. Sweet fruity.

J’aime.

The beer has a simple look. The color is a golden yellow, with a strong cloudiness. The beer pours a decent amount of rather soft white foam, which collapse quickly. A tiny drape of foam remains for quite some time. The smell of the beer is very nice. It has something that reminds me of some Latvian beers. It has a that nice strawberry milkshake sweetness in the smell. There is also a bittersweet almond aroma, which gives a nice little balance to the strawberry sweetness. The balance is very nice, chapeau. In the distance there is something savory. The taste is bitter sweet. It also has that little strawberry sweetness and almond, just like the smell. There is a nice balance between bitterness and sweetness. This beer isn’t like most Belgian beers. The finish is fresh and has a little mint/spearmint flavor. Very special.

Lys orange farvet, lille hvidt hoved. Næsten helt over i wit’en.

on tap @ Hurricane Grill.

Slightly hazy medium amber, good frothy white head, diminishing slowly, good lacing; faint aroma, light malty, grainy, yeast, bit cheese, some coriander; taste is medium sweet and light bitter, grainy, bit toffee, average durantion; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, finish buttery and mild bitter, spicy notes; not bad but neither very special Abbey beer.
