Bottle, 25 cl. Dark brown color with a small head. Aroma sweet, malty. Medium body. Taste is very normal. Malts with little chocolate, and a touch of spice. Not a great beer.

The brown beers are my favorite. You can smell a slight bit of yeast. The bitter taste is mild but distinct.

The head is very nice and lasting on the dark brown beer. The aroma is malty, hoppy with a hint of citrus. The mouthfeel is round. The flavour is sweet and malty with notes of fermented fruits and citrus, especially in the finish. The bitterness is very modest.

Bottle. Large beige fizzy head that mostly lasted. Clear sparkling body with a light brown color. Aroma of caramel, toasted, nutty and fruit notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light sweet and bitter flavor. Light sweet finish.

On tap at Mort Subite. Pours red/brown with a tall off-white head. Dark fruitty with a soft spicy nose. Woody and earthy in the hops that pair well against the plum, chocolate, and bread flavors. I wish they sold this in the US, I really enjoyed this one.

Clear, dark garnet-accented brown. Demerara, old rum (sans booze), plums, apples in the nose. Sweet, soft body with mellow sugars, dates and a hint of vanilla. More rounded and complex than any other filtered dubbel I’ve had.

Bottle picked up from Beers of Europe late April. Poured dark brown, aroma was touch fruity with a bit of yeast, tasted sweet, malty and fruity, it was nice enough but not exciting.

Draft. Poured a clear red-brown color. Head was thick and off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma and flavor were of yeasty bread dough, subdued clove, and a touch of chocolate. Great beer.
