On tap from a street cafe in Brussels. Pours a pretty standard dubbel-style body; dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is caramel and candy sugar. Taste is pretty straightforward: caramel, candy sugar, dark malts and hints of dried fruit. Ok dubbel for a sidewalk break trudging through Brussels - no more, no less.

These guys lose marks in the "appearance" department because I didn’t know what the tower was supposed to mean! Is it an A? An I? An O? Nothing at all? Had to check the fine print on the bottle to figure it out.... Good amber colour and decent head, coulda been a 4 but too bad for them! Aroma of sweet abbey barley and malts, spiciness to it. Taste is soft barley, caramel, sweetness, alcohol. Kind of like a softer tripel or a strong dubbel. All right.

bottle, dark brown colour with white/beige head. Smell: fruity, yeasty. Taste: alcohol, roasted malts, dark fruits, also a bit watery and artificial. Not a bad beer, but also nothing special that makes you search for that beer.
