Bottle, 25 cl. Brwon beer with reddish shine, medium beige spongy head. Aroma of dark roasted malts and some sweetness. Taste is very similar: roasted malts with sweetness at the finish, surrounded by some caramel/chocolate taste. Drinks like a commercial beer and doesn’t have a devastating taste or pallet, but tastes nice in a certain way.

Darm brown-amber. Normal head, sopmewhat beige, holds ok. Aroma of dark fruit, some sourness. Taste caramel and fruity, pretty good beer.

Pours a hazy medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, alcoholic, roasty dark. Not nearly as good as some of the other Abbey Dubbels I’ve had recently.

Bottled, 330ml from Hopduvel Warehouse, Ghent. Dark brown with tan head. Sweet and fruity with a light nutty background. Some slight metallic flavours but the sweetness does dominate a little. Alcohol in the close.

Beautiful looking glass, especially the foamy head is a great sight. Beer is ok, a typical brown beer.

Fairly straightforward, but good Belgian brown ale. Not a lot going on, but what they do, they do well. Poured with a big, foamy frothy tan head and lots of clumpy lace. Head settled down to a light cover after a bit. Color is a clear mahoganey. Aroma is malty, a bit roasty, and toffee, caramel. Flavor is like aroma and malt sweet.. Kind of heavy body and decent carbonation, but what you’d expect from a beer like this. Finish is like flavor. Nice last beer. Not a session for me.

330ml bottle. Deeo brown in colour with a big tan head and moderate carbonation. Sweet aroma of brown sugar and fruit, with a touch of yeast. Sickly sweet flavour, with burnt sugars, prunes and crystallised fruit. Finish was a bit syrupy. Not so good.
