Great, bit special. Surely try it!

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2003 RerateFrom tap in Kafe Belgie very good double. Dark brown appearance, with lasting head. Spicy and malty aroma were much more present. Soft malty taste, spicy on the tongue. From tap it is definitely better than out of a bottle. Original rateNice double. Clear dark-brown color. Sweet (but definitely not sweeter than Grimbergen) and malty. A bit flaw.

Dark amber color, creamy head. Light sweet malt aroma, some hops and caramel; light but nice; sweet oranges. Good body strength, balanced; enough malt and caramel flavor, some sweetness. Correct final, quite long (with caramel).

A sweet quite sugary aroma. The beer is a bit sweet, some rich brown sugar flavor. Also a quick alcohol mouthfeel at the beginning. A decent brune, maybe better than the blonde.

Dark amber colour with a slim head. Malty aroma with slight sour cherries. Malty, fruity cherries and chocolate in the taste. Dry, sweet finish. Nice dubbel.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2006 Good beer, always I have taste a Blegian beer who has the blond and the brune versions, I have a good impresion with the Brune one.

Decent beige head which left some lacing and dark red-brown colour. Yeast and a touch of malt in the aroma. At first I wasn’t too impressed, thinking there wasn’t much subtlety here, but as the level in the glass went down I warmed to the delicate sweetness, the touch of plummy fruit and citric sourness, and the very late bitter aftertaste.

This is a sweet and floverfull brown belgium beer. It poors dark brown with a big frothy head.

A brown beer with no head. The aroma is fruity and a bit sour with hints of alcohol. The flavor is very fresh and of a powerful ale. It has a great sweetness and a nice bitterness. Great balance - a fantastic beer.
