COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bailey’s Ale is a hoppy blond ale named after our happy blonde labrador. It’s made with a bit of malted wheat and Centennial hops for a refreshing citrusy finish. It’s unfiltered and bottle-conditioned for freshness. We hope you enjoy this beer.

(22 oz. from Bootleggers) Hazy blonde with the Cisco signature instant huge overflowing head. Aroma initially has some Band Aid which goes away followed by bread and lemon-citrus. Mouthfeel light, smooth, refreshing. Flavor of bready light lemon-citrus with a hoppy bite and hint of licorice in the finish.

Pours a hazy deep golden color with a thick white head leaving some nice lacing. Aroma has some hops and wheat up front with some malt and grain in the back end. Flavor is a little more on the earthy side. I can pick up malts, centennials, wheat, and some bitter lemon zest. Leaves a bitter malt finish. Not sure, but I think this might be a skunked bottle.

Strong lemon floral citrus aroma with bubbly head that. Light haze amber. Bitter and sourness is strong on the middle of the tongue. Bitterness fades a little after you drink more, still over powering though. I’m finding this disappointing.

Bottle. This pours overly airily, with a head of big, pillowy foam going nowhere over a slowly emerging clear golden ale. The aroma is super-esthery, hinting at perhaps a minor flaw. Laden with an herbal edge, this is a light-bodied drink, but in the end I could’ve done with much less foam on this. (#4400, 12/11/20110)

12 ounce bottle at House for Beer, poured a bright yellow, with aromas of citrus hops, grapefruit, honey, and a touch of hemp. Flavor was a dry grassy flavor with some hops, and grapefruit. Aftertaste had a slight bitterness.

12oz bottle poured into snifter. Dark yellow color with a thick off white beige head. Aroma was full of lemon peel and slight citrus. Flavor was surprisingly hoppy and malty at the same time. Bitter finish but a nice drinking beer.

A big Blond Ale that really doesn’t taste like a Blond. Golden pour with a thick fluffy white head. Herbal and somewhat grassy in the aroma with pine and honeycomb, with some biscuity malt. The body is fairly full and creamy. Slick going down. Sweet and malty with a dry hoppy finish. Some lemon and wheat notes mix in nicely. This is pretty good stuff. It’s as hoppy, if not more, than some IPAs I’ve had but definitely shows plenty of the malted wheat leaving it on the refreshing side, despite it’s heft.

Light, malty citrus aroma, with some pleasant sweetness. Cloudy dark gold pour. Enjoyably sharp, with a bit of salty Nantucket sea breezes in it. Some pine resin in the flavor - quite hoppy without being offensive. A really good, full-flavored pale ale
