COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bailey’s Ale is a hoppy blond ale named after our happy blonde labrador. It’s made with a bit of malted wheat and Centennial hops for a refreshing citrusy finish. It’s unfiltered and bottle-conditioned for freshness. We hope you enjoy this beer.

Mini growler from Half-Time. Pours a hazy light yellow with a hefty cream head. Citrus hops and lemon on the nose. Body is thin to medium, with some sweetness. Finishes slowly with a bit of grapefruit and quinine bitterness. Much different than what I was expecting (id est, a simple boring uncomplicated blond), and it was quite a nice surprise.

Hazy straw colour. Tart, grainy nose with apple skins. Sour, herbal, and lightly spicy. Whatever this is doing, I think the footy, slightly autolyzed electrical cord note doesn’t work for me.

Bottle, kp party. Hazy gold, lovely aroma of citrus rind hop esters. The high carbonation detracts from the body, but it’s bursting with citrus rind hoppiness. Has slight thinness but manages to taste quite mature in spite of it, the hops really make it shine.

Nice somewhat hazy blondish coloured body with an orange tint and a super-large off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, fresh high a.a. hops, peaches and some light yeast & caster sugar. Medium-bodied; Nice strong hop flavour up front with a good amount of pale malt and a pleasant fruity characteristic towards the end. Overall, a good beer - one of the best in the style i’ve had. Aside from being a bit over-carbonated, it was a nice beer to try! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from a liquor shop in Haddonfield, New Jersey by Phil (haddon90) sampled on 25-December-2005.

Alright, so this one’s lovingly named after Bailey the Dog. That’s sweet. Bailey sure has become an increasingly popular dog name over the past several years. Doesn’t anyone name their dog Doctor Bacon these days? Appearance: Pours a hazy, dull golden body with a smallish, fizzy-looking, white head. Smell: Soft pale malts aroma with rich supporting notes of fruity peaches, flowers, and pithy hops. Taste: Pale maltiness sporting a slight graininess and a small bit of tangy malted wheat close behind. There’s a delicate sweet and flavors of fruit wildflowers, but this is expeditiously plowed away by a strong, caustic hop bitterness. Coarse, pithy hop character. Finishes quite dry and crisp with a long, lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Highly carbonated. Drinkability: There’s some good there, but with its copious amount of bitterness and, for me, over-abundant carbonation, it was a bit of chore to finish.

22 oz bomber-poured a cloudy golden color w/a HUGE foamy tan head. Thing was over top the glass like a snow cone & you could actually make designs & shapes in the head. Crisp hop aroma. Ridiculous amount of lacing & carbonation-although it didn’t affect the taste. Had a grassy hop flavor which just bordered on being over the top-but didn’t cross over. Had some citrus & spice to it as well. Long crisp hop finish, alcohol was well hidden. Kind of different, but I enjoyed it.

Bottle thanks to John. Hazy golden pour with big light yellow/white head... HUGE head, actually... the biggest I’ve ever seen. A bit over carbonated. Citrus and pear and yeast on the nose, and a bit odd on the palate... malty and some grassy hop presence... more than expected. Spicy. Interesting.
