3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 austinpowers (2827) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 25, 2004
A pleasant enough brew made in honor of a dog on Nantucket. I've heard many Cisco beers are heavily carbonated, and this is no different. Not much aroma, frankly. Almost Kolsch-ish in taste, as it's light and dry with a strong hop presence that lingers! The fluffy white head linger, too, which is pretty. Yeasty touches in the palate. Slight hints of citrus, but overall what you'll taste is a very light ale with hops and more hops.

750 ml. Bottle. This beer poured a cloudy yellowish-orange color with a thick long lasting head. There is a lot of carbonation in this beer, maybe too much. This is a good, hoppy, wheat beer which is delicious. I would definitely try this beer again.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 argo0 (9224) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 19, 2004
The good news is that there's good head retention, the bad news is that, when the pour is 95% foam to 5% body, it makes for a slow pour. Off-white head atop a hazy yellow body. Aroma is medium sweet, citrus hoppy, some floral and spicy. Taste is medium sweet, spicy, light citrus hop. Finish is spicy citrus bitter. Medium body, quite tart and nice crispness.

Grassy hop aroma, gassy too from the excessive carbonation. (Will they ever figure this out???) Light pale malt flavor, crisp full hop flavor with a dryish finish. This is blonde ale by the english definition, not the american. Aside from the carbonation issues, right on.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 goz (359) - Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 29, 2003
Pale golden in color, large white head, very bubbly body carbonation, very good lacing. Aroma is spicy, pungent hoppiness, lot's of lemon and grapefruit, some breadiness in there as well. Flavor is very citric, lightly malty, ends super dry. Medium in body, very lively carbonation (some may say "spritzy"), hop bitterness lingers pretty long. Went perfect with a spicy piece of grilled salmon.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BierBauch (784) - Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida, USA - AUG 18, 2003
Slightly hazy and light honey colored with a massive and out of control head. This bottle seems like it was overprimed or something. Yeasty aroma and slightly citrusy with a hint of white grapes maybe? This is super carbonated and extremely effervescent which is really unpleasant to me. Flavor is on the bitter side (also a dissapointment) which hides most everything else except the yeast. I'm thinking maybe I got a bad bottle here considering the good reviews I've read. I tried like hell but could not enjoy this brew.

A big citrus head! You are not kidding. Is this even a beer? Much more than I expect from a "Blond". Just like the Summer of Lager, Cisco seems to twist the realm of style-reason with this brew. This one is quite refreshing. Unique indeed!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 OldGrowth (1859) - North Carolina, USA - AUG 3, 2003
Bottle: O.K. nose lemon, grape fruit, grass. Light yellow color. Poured with a big head, though I was able to keep it under control with slow pouring. Big citrus flavor again lemon & grapefruit. A little sweet. Finishes with a clean bitter, Centennial, dry taste. Pretty good considering not my usual kind of beer. A definate summer ale ,though I think its in the year round rotation. My first reveiwed Cisco product, but I've enjoyed their products for a while now.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 evinal (48) - Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 17, 2003
Light citris aroma, a glass filling head becoming attractively ragged and airy as it diminishes. Initial light sweetness, soft feel and finishing off slightly dry.

Beers like this are wonderful, if a bit subtle. Huge head, unfiltered but quintessentially blond in color, hay aromas, soft spiciness from hops. The taste is quite spicy. Good body, just a delight. Mmmmm...thanks Mitt.
