Moderate gold in the glass once the expanding white head settles down. Not a gusher, but it liked the idea. Hops in nose do not fully translate into the medium body. Lacing is quite uniform and is medium diamond sized. Some small quaff rings build on the far side of the glass. bitterness in mouthfeel is more yeasty than hoppy. Hops are present in body but they don’t ring true. bottle conditioning is nice and all but this interrupted the flow of the entire brew.

12oz bottle from Armanetti’s. Pours a cloudy, golden orange colored body with some particulate floating around. Finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet bready malts with some floral hops. A bit of an apricot, peach, and orange. Flavor is bitter earth and florals with a light bready malt sweetness alongside some apricot and a light orange citrus. Finishes dry and bitter with a light fruity sweetness and a light bready malt backing before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a 7.5% blonde? Wha? The sweet malt backing, light breadiness, and light floral hopping is nice, but the intense, harsh bitterness from the earthy hops is too much. I did not like this very much.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 julieimagery (98) - Coconut creek, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2012
This one was quite sweet and different for me. It’s too plain, but it does have more malt than typical blond ales I’ve had.

Malt, fruit, and some grassy hops in the aroma. Flavor is smooth with some grassy hop bitterness. Pretty standard golden ale, but still a very good one. To me this is a good beer to bring to a tailgate or cookout. More flavor than a standard beer, but not too overwhelming for the Bud Light crowd.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 queenholly (514) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - APR 10, 2012
Bottle. Yeasty malt and pineapple hops aroma. Hazy gold with a small white head. Bready malt and bitter herbal hops flavor. Medium body, flat carbonation. Despite all the hops, there was something rather bland about the flavor.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 andyhwcinc (925) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2012
Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a very nice Saturday while making Indian food. Appearance a slightly cloudy gold, yeasties floating near the bottom of the glass, thin bubbly white head. Aroma mostly of straw and ale yeast. Taste goes down smooth, lemony notes, wasn’t really expecting the world from this one, it’s a good beer for a nice Saturday afternoon.

I expect a Blonde to be on the lighter side leaning more toward a lager or pilsner in taste with an ale style body. This was far more hoppy than I was expecting - even hoppier than their pale ale. It was actually pretty bitter.

(22 oz. from Bootleggers) Hazy blonde with the Cisco signature instant huge overflowing head. Aroma initially has some Band Aid which goes away followed by bread and lemon-citrus. Mouthfeel light, smooth, refreshing. Flavor of bready light lemon-citrus with a hoppy bite and hint of licorice in the finish.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 halfonit (972) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 11, 2012
Pours a hazy deep golden color with a thick white head leaving some nice lacing. Aroma has some hops and wheat up front with some malt and grain in the back end. Flavor is a little more on the earthy side. I can pick up malts, centennials, wheat, and some bitter lemon zest. Leaves a bitter malt finish. Not sure, but I think this might be a skunked bottle.
