COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bailey’s Ale is a hoppy blond ale named after our happy blonde labrador. It’s made with a bit of malted wheat and Centennial hops for a refreshing citrusy finish. It’s unfiltered and bottle-conditioned for freshness. We hope you enjoy this beer.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, grapefruit/lemon), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Very little aroma, and fairly stark, acrid, and thin in the mouth. This is really 7.5%?? Seems more like 4.5.

2004 Bottle at 2006 Chromefest: Poured cloudy yellow with yeast chunks and a medium white head. High carbonation. It tasted like soda water with some malt and hops. Avoid.

12oz bottle from Armanetti’s. Pours a cloudy, golden orange colored body with some particulate floating around. Finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet bready malts with some floral hops. A bit of an apricot, peach, and orange. Flavor is bitter earth and florals with a light bready malt sweetness alongside some apricot and a light orange citrus. Finishes dry and bitter with a light fruity sweetness and a light bready malt backing before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a 7.5% blonde? Wha? The sweet malt backing, light breadiness, and light floral hopping is nice, but the intense, harsh bitterness from the earthy hops is too much. I did not like this very much.

Hazy golden body under a humongous white head. Citrus and pine hops in the nose with some tropical fruit but not amounting to anything truly inviting. Lots of carbonation. Spice and bitterness in the taste with a hint of sweet. Mediocre.

Strong lemon floral citrus aroma with bubbly head that. Light haze amber. Bitter and sourness is strong on the middle of the tongue. Bitterness fades a little after you drink more, still over powering though. I’m finding this disappointing.

I expect a Blonde to be on the lighter side leaning more toward a lager or pilsner in taste with an ale style body. This was far more hoppy than I was expecting - even hoppier than their pale ale. It was actually pretty bitter.

Just couldn’t get into this one. Poured a HUGE head with even the gentlest pour. Tasted excessively bitter without the flavor essence of hops, and a bit of sourness to boot.

Slightly hazy and light honey colored with a massive and out of control head. This bottle seems like it was overprimed or something. Yeasty aroma and slightly citrusy with a hint of white grapes maybe? This is super carbonated and extremely effervescent which is really unpleasant to me. Flavor is on the bitter side (also a dissapointment) which hides most everything else except the yeast. I'm thinking maybe I got a bad bottle here considering the good reviews I've read. I tried like hell but could not enjoy this brew.

Beautiful golden pour w/a nice medium head and carbonation. However, the frontend dryness and bitter just didn’t work for me.
