Location: 750 ml bottle from Buy Rite, 4/20/12
Aroma: The nose has notes of peach, lemon, pepper, other spice, and a little brett
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy bright orange color with a white head and light lace
Flavor: The flavor is decently balanced between the fruity sweetness, spice, and the tart/sour yeast
Palate: The body of this one light-medium, it has lively carbonation, and a dry, tingly, acidic/tart finish
Overall Impression:
This is a pretty interesting Saison. I thought they did a nice job with this one. All of the various components seem to work pretty well together, and it drinks pretty nicely. The tartness really comes out as it warms.

The pour is a cloudy golden color with a large white head. A pretty nice aroma. Lemon is prominent, good citrus peel to it with a touch of yeast and some white pepper. Quite a bit of bready malt and a little bit of straw. The flavor is lightly tart with some big time lemon and green apple. There’s a really strong barnyard character to it as well. Heavy on the yeast, too.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours golden/copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, light fruit, some spiciness, and a little sourness. Flavor about the same. Pretty interesting. Average texture. Not a bad beer, but it’d be hard to drink a lot of this.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 pantanap (2838) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2012
750ml bottle. thanks to lushawn for sending me a beer that’s available to me locally. ass.... pours a mostly non-transparent earthy orange brown hue and topped with a considerable milky white head... aroma is a bit phenolic with a degree of a minerally antiseptic nature, a little minty almost with added spice, followed up by some grassy notes. an airy type of earthiness also surfaces with the aforementioned. a bit lacking in cohesiveness it seems overall... flavors add a modicum and mild degree of tartness that continues to grow as the beer warrms. previous notes pair alongside soft grains and mild grass but are definitely more subtle in nature. mouthfeel is light and fluffy. carbonation is fairly lively and active. finishes on a lightly dry and fluffy edge.
