Bottle pours a dark red/brown with a thick long lasting off white head. Scent is florist shop and spice. Taste is roasted malt and earthy bitterness.

Draft @ Coalhouse Pizza. I really like Cisco’s beers, but this beer is a dud. Flat woody flavor with a thick, stale hoppiness without any character. Pass.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours dark brown with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of spices and a lot of earthiness, a little caramel and bread, and some light hops. Flavor the same, with too much spiciness. Average texture. A decent beer.

(Bottle from Bootleggers) Pours dark amber-brown with a finger of tan head. Aroma features spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, other?) and malt (chocolate). Mouthfeel fairly smooth, a touch thin, with some slight pebbliness. Big, weepy rings of lacing. Flavor of cinnamon-nutmeg spiciness over chocolate and light caramel with a bit of booziness.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of earthy hops, malt, and faint spices. Medium bodied sate with a lasting burnt earthy finish.

A good local beer. A bit to hoppy for my taste but still enjoyable for a seasonal beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark ruby/brown color with a small beige head. Nose is spices..gingerbread, nutmeg, brown sugar. Palate is very stingy with a dirty feeling in the swallow. Tongue is uncomfortable and coated with some sort of film. Flavors of dirty malts, tree bark, ginger, earthy I guess.

Crispy malt aroma. Dark brown with ruby tinge. Bitter tingly feeling on the tongue. It’s ok but doesn’t thrill me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12-oz bottle from Bev Max in Manford w Andy, Maggi, Nick and Massimo. Pours a dirty-looking amber-brown with a sizable off-white head. Smells of cinnamon and spice, possibly nutmeg. Palate is brown sugar and spice. Light mouthfeel. Not great.
