The aroma smells like chocolate, toffee, and is typically quite dry. Tates pretty nice with an active carbonation and coffee and bitter chocolate flavours. TampaBeer (194), Tampa, Florida, USA

Somewhat bitter and dry, it was a bit tough to enjoy the whole bomber because of the lack of sweetness to balance out the bitterness Radek Kliber (4001), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Bottle (750ml). Shared with garthicus, jerc, mabel, Radek Kliber and mds - my bottle. Near opaque brown-black with a huge light brown fluffy lasting head. Very dry aroma, medium roast malt, light pungent spice, a little acidic. Taste followed - quite spicy, a hint of sourness, decent straightforward roast malt, long and dry/acidic finish. Very average body, well-balanced between roast malt, mild bitterness and acidity - solid. jerc (3965), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Bottle: Poured with a red-tinged black color and a head of thinly laced head. The aroma is light, almost sour-like, not really hinting at much beneath. This drinks with a bit of a watery consistency, with the first impression being not much more than an ashy chocolate thinness. It gets a tad richer as it warms, but still never really fully lives up to it’s visual promise. (#3261, 12/23/2007)
