8/8/10/11/11/11

Bottle, 75 cl corked. It’s a flat, unclear beer, golden-orange in color, no head. There’s a light funk on the nose, with cherry, nail polish remover and a cardamom like spice touch. Vinegar, raisins, a generic fruityness, some sweetness, cherry and a hint of nail polish remover. Dry and acidic on the palate. Long finish. An interesting and complex beer, but there’s too much nail polish remover for it to be really nice. 130607

A: The pour is a cloudy pinkish orange color with a short lived off-white head. S: The nose is actually pretty decent for a cherry sour. Pie filling, lots of wood, grassy funk, and a moderate level of acidity. Definitely a good mix of sweet and sour cherry. T: Cherries are evident right away. While they are the primary flavor, the beer is pretty light overall. A pleasant and easy going sourness to this one. Grass and wet oak provide a mild funkiness, along with perhaps a touch of hay. M: The body is on the light end of medium with a moderate carbonation and a slightly dry finish. D: Definitely better than the Dark Woods, and probably Monomoy Kriek too. Really easy to drink.
