DA (2425), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Jun 24, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Interesting wit beer with lots of citrus and a soft coriander character. This was a bit overwhelming on the lime character, while unique, it kinda took over. The finish had a mild tartness, smooth wheat character, and subtle spiciness.
RCL (1021), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Aug 30, 2008 Very spicy wit. Lots of coriander, but also hints of cinnamon and a distinct nutmeg component as well. Worth a try. argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA Aug 27, 2008 (22oz bottle) Quickly dissipating white head atop cloudy straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, some wheat, lemon. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, wheat, light orange. Effervescent light-medium body. kmweaver (2015), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Aug 24, 2008 22oz bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a murky, whitish-golden color; thin head that quickly fades. Good amounts of coriander, orange peel, and creamy vanilla in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: lively carbonation; white pepper, coriander, and a very creamy, vanilla-laden presence in the aroma; nicely drinkable, pretty solid witbier. Medium finish; dry, toasty malts and some peppery notes. BuckNaked (1195), Tempe, Arizona, USA Aug 13, 2008 22oz bottle: Bottle conditioned. Pours to a slightly hazy, very pale yellow colored body with a large white, frothy head that lasts. The aroma shows light flowery hops, dusty wheat, hints of lemon zest, and just a slight earthy yeast scent. Taste initially starts with some sweet wheat bread, with light honey notes, then some flowery hops and spices (I would guess orange zest and corriander, but it almost seems to me as if there is a spice here that I’m missing like jasmine, rose, or almond). Finishes relatively dry with some hints of residual sweetness on the tip of the tongue and lasting light flowery hops. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Much better when it warms up a bit. Nice clean witbier. WeeHeavySD (1720), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jul 30, 2008 Bomber bonus from RCL. Shared with my girlfriend Cyn. Pours gold with a bright white head. Nose is wheaty and a bit off. Taste is slightly spiced and ok. This is a decent wit.
