COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The name "Grey Lady" comes from the nickname for the often-foggy island for which it is brewed. This hazy, Belgian-style Wit emits a complex, earthy nose with sophisticated notes. The sift, malty mid-palate has wicked good zesty hints but gives way to a delectably dry finish. Quenching!

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark golden-orange with a slight white head - light lacing. Fruit forward aroma with lemon and tangerine and a hint of yeast. Refreshing flavor, some lemony citrus notes, a touch of saffron spiciness, a touch of licorice. Mouthfeel has a very nice spritz to it. A nice summer refresher.

Bottle. My second Cisco beer tonight that was overly fizzy. Unlike the Bailey’s, this one is champagne-like in its fizziness, effervescent to a fault. Super light and barley yellow, this drinks like a fruit spritzer more than a beer, even a wit. Super sweet and puckeringly sweet, this is bordering into the Berliner weisse range. Bottle. Hazy golden body with a short white head. Aroma is lemon, grains, light spice (almost a hint of cinnamon), and yeast notes. Taste is sweet malts, soft lemon, grains, dusty yeast, and mild spices. Body is light and very bubbly with a strong, prickly carbonation. Ends with more spices, light yeast notes, sweet malt, hints of lemon and wheat.

Tap at the airport in Boston, MA. Light golden color with orange highlights. The nose is sweet, some banana with a spicy ginger finish. The taste is moderately light and sweet, with a slightly bready finish. The palate’s watery, a slightly wet finish. Overall, OK, one of the better beers I’ve had at an airport :)

kramer (5348) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw straw body with a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is quite interesting and really complex for a Wit. There’s a ton of herbal and spicy notes, I almost wondered if there was some tea leaves in here, but there’s no mention of it. I really like this aroma. The flavor is a little lighter and less interesting than the aroma, but it’s still really spicy and nice with a fairly heavy citrusy note. Light wheat base with a crisp finish. Light bodied with fine fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice simple Wit, much better than average for the style.

FROTHINGSLOSH (5340) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 27, 2011
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a slightly hazy yellow-golden color with a medium sized soapy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint citrus and must with a light vague spicy undertone. The flavor was tangy orange and lemon with light undertones of must, pepper and cardboard. The finish was short with lemon and yeast. Medium body. Pleasant.
