The name "Grey Lady" comes from the nickname for the often-foggy island for which it is brewed. This hazy, Belgian-style Wit emits a complex, earthy nose with sophisticated notes. The sift, malty mid-palate has wicked good zesty hints but gives way to a delectably dry finish. Quenching!

poured a pale yellow body with a thin white head that had no retention. Aroma had some nice coriander notes a mild hint of citrus, and a delicate sweet malt base. While the flavor did have a nice spice profile the tangy notes from the citrus seemed a bit over powering. Finish was smooth and easy to drink. Just okay.

We tasted a set that has four different beers from the same brewery. This was the best one.

Bottle from Brewtopia. Hazy pale yellow orange with fizzy head that ends up as a ring. Coriander citrus and spice. Pineapple fruity sweetness with zesty citrus and spice finish and something lingering and floral herbal that I canít quite put my finger on. Light body slightly slick. Good but not great. Should have better head retention and a better softer mouthfeel with more internal carbo.

On tap at SLL tasting.Pours a cloudy straw yellow color with some stray chunky sediments floating around. Fizzy at first, but dissipate quickly. Cloves with some fruity esters make up its aroma profile. The taste is mild, with a clove-like something noticed. A little bit of lemon zest in the finish. Somewhat thin-bodied. Very nice prickly carbonation.

On tap at East Bay Grille in Plymouth. Didnít even know what I was ordering. Was pleasantly surprised to get what I believed was a good hefeweissen. Full bodied, very smooth. Was surprised to see that the brewery calls it a wit. Solid beer.

Slightly hazy yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of subtle spice. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body. Nicely integrated spice flavors with a touch of citrus on a wheat backdrop. Nice beer.

Slightly cloudy golden colour with almost no head. Slight spicy smell. Quite a heavy mouthfeel for what is essentially a lager. Quite fizzy both visually and in the mouth. Tastes of lemons with a bitter zest aftertaste and a hint of spiciness. Not bad. (K)
