COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Finally an American-style IPA from us... This beautiful red-orange ale has a full malty body balanced by a fruity apricot/grapefruit nose. Mounds of dank Summit hops in the whirlpool and dry-hop additions provide a deliciously quenching finish to this East meets West-coast ale.

The aroma is okay. Definitely some citrus and floral hops, possibly a whiff of bready malt? Taste is nothing special. Mostly just hops that are not very well balanced. Nothing amazing

My first thought was "it’s like a razor blade to the tongue". Very sharp, but refreshing at the same time. A new twist on IPAs.

Bottle poured a hazy tarnished gold with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot), with notes of diacetyl, sour fruit (kumquat, sour apple, tomato, etc.), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately to heavily acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately to heavily acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Off-smelling, dirty, and very sour. Undrinkable. Cisco continues to have problems with infections, obviously. Bummer.

Pours a clear amber brown with a foamy off white head. Aroma of caramel and grape. Taste is lightly sweet start to finish with a nice midpoint of hop bitterness that finishes with candied citrus notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quite nice beer bordering on superb. Poured with a thick sudsy cream-colored head, some lace and a clear medium dark amber color. Aroma is malt, pine resin and a hint of weed. flavor is fairly dry but other than that everything else is well balanced which makes it easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I thought this smelled excellent. Lots of piney hops with a weird old smell that I like. Unfortunately, the old smell also permeated into the flavor, as it just seemed a bit flat and alcohol-present. Bummer.

Bottle shared by sonnycheeba. Pours hazy dark amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is moderate citrus, tropical and dank hops, biscuit malt, grassy notes and pear esters. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, supporting crisp biscuit malt, light fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Reviewed from notes. This one was poured into a pint glass and a tulip. There wasn’t any difference between the two. The appearance had a nice red-orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute and left some light glossy spider web lacing. The smell had a "fruity" apricot to grapefruit aroma with a nice bittering underneath of some light spicy hops. The taste had a nice citrusy to apricot-like flavoring coat my taste buds fairly nicely. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a fairly decent sessionable aspect about it. The carbonation seemed just a tad under for the IPA style, but honestly wasn’t too bad to me. Overall, for the most part, I say this was a good IPA worthy of having again.

Tap pour @ Cisco. Clean amber in glass. Slight lacing. Straight forward nose. Dank hops, faint lemon. Taste sticks with the aforementioned notes. Basic malt backing. Bitter on the finish. Decent carbonation. There are better IPAs on offer on site.
