COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Finally an American-style IPA from us... This beautiful red-orange ale has a full malty body balanced by a fruity apricot/grapefruit nose. Mounds of dank Summit hops in the whirlpool and dry-hop additions provide a deliciously quenching finish to this East meets West-coast ale.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 22 oz Bomber. The beer pours to a slightly cloudy orange/copper color with a very thick slightly off white head. The aroma has a slightly sweet caramel & bread with very little hop scent to it. The taste was mostly malt up front with a medium body & a skunky aftertaste. Not sure the age of the beer but it is not one i would try again. Not an IPA to me at all.

12 oz bottle pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of sweet malts and citrus. Taste of citrus and malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at SBWF 2013. Smel of citrusy hops and also a light note of liqourice. Similar taste, light maltbase.

Bottle from the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a hazy copper colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma of brown sugar, caramel and butterscotch. Initial flavours of toffee and sweet malt with some pine like hops low down in the mix. Palate is more butterscotch, maple syrup and a little hop resin. Hops were DOA it would appear.

Hazy amber nice white head that left lacing. Pine hop aroma and some caramel malt. Satisfying palate but the hop flavor is not to my liking.

Pours a murky orange with head fading to a ring, floating sediment, and great lacing. Aroma is apricots and tons of milk chocolate malt. Strange and unexpected for an IPA. Taste is malt forward with sweet orange flavor balanced with some grass in the end. Aroma and taste donít match - which is fine, but this is on the fringes of IPA territory with how malt forward it is. Itís an enjoyable beer to drink and hard to rate any lower, but itís not what Iíve come to know as an IPA. Label says best before date on bottle, and thereís no date on the bottle - so thatís a bummer. No glaring flaws, but just feels a little disparate and hollow. A different IPA for sure, and a good entry IPA for the hop averse.

Mediocre ipa. Rated this beer using a different program and unfortunately I'm not able to transfer my comments here.

Bottle at Gbbf 2013. Pours amber with a medium head. Nice apricot nose, hints of earth, more citrus in the mouth. Promising nose, less inspiring in the mouth.

Decent citrus and pine nose. Add some stone fruit and you get a solid yet unspectacular beer. Could do worse

Bottle. Pours a bright and clear dark copper body with a frothy one inch off-white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is pretty awful for an IPA, lots of toasted and crystal malt and very minimal citrusy hops. The flavor is even worse. This is all toasted and husky grainy malt with just the lightest hint of floral hop bitterness. Thereís no brightness or snap to the hops at all. I canít tell if this is maybe a very old bottle, or just a crappy beer. Wish there were some kind of date on this bottle. Medium bodied and a little heavy with a harsh grainy texture and fizzy carbonation. One if the worst IPAs Iíve had in a long time.
