1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Pours a bright and clear dark copper body with a frothy one inch off-white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is pretty awful for an IPA, lots of toasted and crystal malt and very minimal citrusy hops. The flavor is even worse. This is all toasted and husky grainy malt with just the lightest hint of floral hop bitterness. Thereís no brightness or snap to the hops at all. I canít tell if this is maybe a very old bottle, or just a crappy beer. Wish there were some kind of date on this bottle. Medium bodied and a little heavy with a harsh grainy texture and fizzy carbonation. One if the worst IPAs Iíve had in a long time.

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Nice grapefruit / bready malt aroma, good dense head. Taste - bitterness up front without much flavor to balance it. Not impressed at all with this one.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, murky reddish pour with thin but lasting white head, aroma brought notes of orange, caramel, toffee, slight grass, pine, hints of red fruits as well. Taste is a mix of sweet orange, orange peel, nice lemon, biscuit, dry grass, and piney notes, hints of caramel, toffee, finishing fairly bitter, slightly dry, nice and cracker and lemon forward.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. I'm gonna say its an older bottle. I get more malty caramel aroma then hops. Appearance is perfect with nice long lasting head.

May 2010. Very good IPA with lot of fruit aromas mixed with caramel and hops. Good carbonation, balance and structure. Bitter hops on the finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. One of the darker colored IPAs i"ve encountered. As the commercial description says "beautiful red-orange". A gentle pour nets a good one finger creamy beige head which leaves a fair bit of lace. Fruity, citrus aroma, strongly backed with a malty sweetness that almost totally takes over in the taste. Very malt forward. Full, creamy palate. Nice and easy to drink.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
The aroma wasnít as powerful as the average IPA, but there was definitely an aroma of apricot in it. The head was very powerful and took a while to dissipate. It is a darker color than many IPAís that Iíve seen. It is smooth, but lacks the citrus bites that most IPAís have. It is overall fairly decent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured into a tulip glass, it has an ample head and a yellow-orange body, very much an appealing beer to look at. The hoppiness isnít murdersome like some other IPAs, so look elsewhere if thatís what you like. Itís certainly bitter with some resiny tones, but the rest of the beer drinks like a smooth ale. Feels fizzy in the mouth to the point where it absolutely blows up if you swish it around a little. Good east coast IPA.
