750 cork and caged bottle. Fruity slightly apricot IPA. Bit of malt build. But that fruit comes through. Overall, nice taste. Terrible label.

Draft sample at Cincy Beerfest 2014 on Fountain Square. Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head. Notes of sweet malts, tropical fruits (mango, melon, pineapple), citrus, grass, resin, and grass. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a juicy mouthfeel. Good double IPA.

750ml bottle, split with Robotopera. Hazy dark orange color. Thin ring of off-white head. Some loose bits of lace. Up front, it’s pretty evident that this has a brettanomyces thing going on. I was debating for a while whether this was intentional or not, because I remember the saison being surprisingly sour too (I later heard from brewery reps that the saison was intentionally soured). I don’t think that is the case here, judging from other reviews... There’s a tart, bright fruity flavor up front, mild sourness. Light to moderate bitter, moderate sweet taste. Aroma has some bright brett funk that’s noticeable up front, but once I get acclimated to it, it’s not too bad. Some good resiny piney hop, earthy hop. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lightly creamy carbonation. Lightly effervescent. Brett is kind of strange with that but it’s not too bad.. Mild to moderate caramel malt that wouldn’t be so bad with the hop but it clashes with the brett. Like the soured saison, though, this beer grows on me quite a bit as I go.

On tap at Caliente. Pours a clear light orange with a thin white head. Aroma of light fruits, mango, grapefruit, grassy and stinky hops. Smells heavenly! Flavor is slightly sweeter, more citrus and mango, bitter hop resins, stinky hops. Wow, this is a real winner! So hoppy and fruity. Very drinkable for a IIPA. 8/4/8/4/15 (3.9/5)

On tap at Caliente's. Pours a hazy golden yellow. White head. Aromas of tangerine and citrus. Some dankness and a hint of sweaty gym socks. Taste is slightly bitter with a clean finish. Really great.

Bottle from Banana Jam Cafe, South Africa. Pours with a lively thick head, slightly hazy, taste is resinous, citrus with a heavy yeast presence making it quite hard going. Massive hops with multi-layered undertones. Drinking well up to its strength though it didn’t sit well with the pizza I’d just had. Next time I’ll try it on an empty stomach!

Really nice IIPA. 7.7% is perfect. Not all IIPAs have to be 9+%!! Fruity and dry and piney and bitter. Good west coast IPA from an East coast brewery. Really glad I snuck this guy back home w/ me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery during a visit with my wife. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a thin white head. Big bright citrus on the nose, grapefruit and some faint tropical fruit. Pungent hops, grapefruit, citrus – lots of big fat citrus. Soft citrus, long grapefruit. Very tasty.
