Bottle from DeCiccos in Harrison, NY. Cisco hits it out if the park again. Pours a hazy banana color. Thick cream colored head, excellent retention. Slightly sweet and smooth tasting. Slight peppery finish. Extremely drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wood, bubble gum, and a lot of sour apple in the aroma, more like a sour ale than a tripel. Flavor is pure tripel, though, if a little on the mild side, sweet with fruit, spice, and caramel. A little hop bitterness and some drying alcohol in the finish. Pretty faithful interpretation of a classic style, and a pretty good one too.

Great head retention, amber in color with an apple-juice touch in color, looks refreshing and pleasing. Pepper, light-weight and softer than others i tried. Purchased in Nantucket 22oz bomber. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 750 ml capped bottle. Murky dark orange pour, sticky white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma is very fresh with some spicy saffron-like notes, a yeasty blast, some bubble gum notes. Flavor is full bodied with some pear-like fruitiness, some white grape notes, some light bubble gum, finishes with some buttery notes in the back end. Nice full spritz in the mouthfeel. Pretty solid!

April 2012. Bottle. Amber color with a white head. Buttery aromas with light fruit, malt and Belgian yeast. Very drinkable and good balance, but overall nothing that really stands out.

A little disappointed with this beer. Apples and lemon on the nose. Taste follows with some yeast and spice. Not terrible but I was expecting more. Aroma and taste were a little too funky.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orangey copper color with a moderate white head on it. Nose has some sweet aromas of light fruit and a bit of the Belgian yeast in there. Taste is fruity without being too sweet and has a bit of spice underneath. Slight bit of fizziness to the palate.

My Bottom Line:
Orange zest, doughy yeast and herbal hops meet as alcohol warmth and delicate honeyed sweetness seal this elegant Tripel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A tower of foam protects the cloudy beige blond, leaving plenty of lacing.
-Bready flavors appear to coat the green, earthy hops in the finish.
-Mouthfeel is rich and effervescent. This is sweeter than authentic Tripels, but it isn’t THAT sweet.
-I like the fact this is not a spice soup like so many North American Tripels. Spices and herbs are intelligently used here ; nice dosage in aroma and flavor profile.
-I found this to be better when cool ; the flavor profile wasn’t as tight when getting close to room temperature.
