Draft at Capones in Norristown, PA. Pours a hazy pale golden orange color with golden straw edges and a 1.5 finger white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic streaks of lace left behind. Odd aroma with a mix of lactic funk, tropical fruit and chemicals. Smells sort of like sun tan lotion with lots of wood/oak and coconut. Like a wild ale dosed with coco butter. Medium bodied with a really strange amalgam of flavors. Tart with strong citrus acidity, sourdough bread and lactic funk cut by a strong earthy wood presence that gives off a strong coconut milk flavor. Dry and somewhat astringent finish. Not a bad beer just a very weird combination of flavors.

750 ml caged and corked bottle, 2014 vintage. Served in a St. Bernardus chalice, the beer pours a slightly hazy golden/orange color with about an inch creamy off-white head that stuck around for a very long time. There’s a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like citrus, tropical fruit, white wine, peaches and oak. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s the addition of cantaloupe, apricot and earthiness. It’s really tart and tasty! Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s creamy, smooth and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I thought it was pretty good, I liked it more the longer I drank it. Definitely worth trying if you see a bottle, I know I wouldn’t mind buying this again. $20.99 a bottle at Party Source.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy tropical citrus, wine and wood aroma. Medium to full body and a smooth dry texture and lively carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid complex beer.

2013 bottle..good pop from bottle..pours a golden yellow/orange..decent amount of carbonation..nose has got some true wild character with funk, wood and sourness..mouthfeel is spritzy, light bodied, full of interesting flavor with just the right amount of sourness supported nicely by the presence from the oak barrel..quite enjoyable sour ale

Bottle. Sunset-orange with moderate haze. Beautiful sunset colors. One inch of off-white fuzz. Dry, oaky funk in the nose. Dried lemon, rose petals, brett, white wine, dried flower petals, potpourri. Complex, like perfume. Fruity up front in the flavor, with a bit of apple and underripe pear. Vinegar acidity is mild. Dry, oaky chardonnay. Finish is balanced perfectly -- fruity-sweet and moderately sour. Very mild carbonation, nearly flat. Medium body, smooth and silky. A sour you can drink a lot of.

P: Clear copper colored with a one finger head that doesn’t last long. S: Lactic acid, yogurt, peaches, grapes, a bit of butter. T: Acid-y, sweet peach, oak and a bit of yogurt in the end. M: Thin and highly carbonated. Very sweet and tart. O: Nothing that I found extraordinary, but it sure was sour. A bit to acid-y for me.

Sample tasted at Casanova Liquors. Pours light orange golden color. Smell is tart with citrus notes like lemon and grapefruit. Taste follows with dry white wine like finish. Good stuff.

Pours pale amber with a frothy white head. Nose is tart and spunky like a cider. Taste is similar. Medium bodied brew with vigorous carbonation. Refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have tart green apples, lemon citrus, nice sour acidity, but it doesn’t pop like I hoped it would probably because the carbonation was softer, still good but at the price I want more.
