3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle served in a tulip. Pour is a hazy, orange hued gold with two fingers of wispy light head. Nose is yeast, cellar, funk, wood, tart cranberries, and dry champagne carbonation. Taste is right on par as it starts with very dry, but naturally sweet summer fruit and funk. This is followed by the yeast/wood/cranberry wallop that rolls right into the finish. This is a nice sour, nothing spectacular, but a very nice drinking staple if you are into sours.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml from State Line. Iíve not had the base beer, but comparison aside this one was really intriguing. Lively pale gold pour with crisp, prickly carbonation such as youíd get with a gueuze. The nose has a promiment, oaky chard thing happening with hints of dryness, tartness coming on. Itís acetic enough to give it some sharpness on the tongue, but not as in heat. Taste is dry white wine, slight woody funk, and just a hint of citrus and lactose. Kinda like a second-tier Brute or Temptation but thatís still pretty sweet.

Pours a cloudy/milky straw yellow, with white head. Tart, lemons, floral, light wheat sweetness, fruit (kind of tropical), light spice, brett funk, and oak. Really nice refreshing, bright beer. I love it.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
SilkymuthafuckinTodd popped this late in the day at bas release and it was a fantastic choice for late in the day. Bright hazy light amber with small white head. Nose is bright sunshine and polka dot bikini at the beach on a 19 year old coed. Taste is tart heavenly goodness and a flowing summer skirt as the sun sets over the pacific. Love it.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Crisp sour bretty nose with a touch of spice beneath. Whitish tinted yellow, whispy white above. Berliner weisse looking. Crisp, sour flavors...remarkably clean and refreshing, seriously...even a touch salty around the edges...way more a super sour berliner than a witbier...I mean, I think I detected some of the spices in the nose but flavorwise is all crisp clean sourness...citrusy, lactic, bretty...this is a god damned fantastic beer. Thanks to lushawn for the bottle.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: The pour is a very pale straw color with a large white head.
S: Smells interesting. Mild tart with a heavy hand on the lemon aromas. Quite a bit of floral qualities to it with a mild funk and oak, perhaps a little lacto. Thereís plenty of oak and a touch of white wine.
T: The flavor is not too shabby. Heavy on the grass, hay, and lemon zest. Fairly funky and rather strong on the oak. Mild wine and vanilla, some hints of fruit in there as well. Maybe a little bit of pineapple.
M: Fairly light in body with a high level of carbonation and a dry finish.
O: This was surprisingly good. While all of the barrel aged beers from Cisco have been enjoyable, this one was a bit above the rest.

Bottle. Poured into a Snifter glass a slightly cloudy pale straw yellow color with a slight white coastered white head. An interesting aroma, some peach, pear, and spice. Tart apricot peach flavors in the flavor. Minimal spice as well. The oak is there but pretty minimal. Much more fruit forward than I thought it would be. Light mouthfeel with some carbonation. Ends with a lingering drawn out dry apricot taste. Refreshing, great for summer.
