SilkymuthafuckinTodd popped this late in the day at bas release and it was a fantastic choice for late in the day. Bright hazy light amber with small white head. Nose is bright sunshine and polka dot bikini at the beach on a 19 year old coed. Taste is tart heavenly goodness and a flowing summer skirt as the sun sets over the pacific. Love it.

Crisp sour bretty nose with a touch of spice beneath. Whitish tinted yellow, whispy white above. Berliner weisse looking. Crisp, sour flavors...remarkably clean and refreshing, seriously...even a touch salty around the edges...way more a super sour berliner than a witbier...I mean, I think I detected some of the spices in the nose but flavorwise is all crisp clean sourness...citrusy, lactic, bretty...this is a god damned fantastic beer. Thanks to lushawn for the bottle.

A: The pour is a very pale straw color with a large white head. S: Smells interesting. Mild tart with a heavy hand on the lemon aromas. Quite a bit of floral qualities to it with a mild funk and oak, perhaps a little lacto. There’s plenty of oak and a touch of white wine. T: The flavor is not too shabby. Heavy on the grass, hay, and lemon zest. Fairly funky and rather strong on the oak. Mild wine and vanilla, some hints of fruit in there as well. Maybe a little bit of pineapple. M: Fairly light in body with a high level of carbonation and a dry finish. O: This was surprisingly good. While all of the barrel aged beers from Cisco have been enjoyable, this one was a bit above the rest.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2011 Bottle via a trade, also a bottle at Oakquinox. Pours with a hazed yellow body and a huge white head. Aromas are big, perfumey, potpourri, lacto, brett, white wine and oak. Flavors are sour, tart, dry, vanilla, coconut, floral, perfume, pina colada. Dry mouthfeel, lively bubbles, top.
Oakquinox: Numbers are exactly the same. Hazed golden body with a small white head. Aromas of honey, funk, honeysuckle, lemon like acidity and light spice. Flavors are acidic, lacto, lactic, and some strange spices. Dry with lively carbonation.

Bottle. Poured into a Snifter glass a slightly cloudy pale straw yellow color with a slight white coastered white head. An interesting aroma, some peach, pear, and spice. Tart apricot peach flavors in the flavor. Minimal spice as well. The oak is there but pretty minimal. Much more fruit forward than I thought it would be. Light mouthfeel with some carbonation. Ends with a lingering drawn out dry apricot taste. Refreshing, great for summer.

750ml bottle. Poured a medium and hazy yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of stale lemon rinds, steaming pile of manure, earthy, woody, and funky. Tastes of lemons, oak, brett, funk, and citrus. Lightly sweet with a nicer tart finish.

750 ml bottle into a lost abbey glass. After having dark woods was super excited to try this, but this was quite a let down. A light cloudy gold, lots of carbonation, just boring looking...The aroma is light grain, lactose, oak, a little funk, nothing bad just not strong enough for what I want from an oak aged sour...The taste is also pretty boring, an acidic sour with light grain, grass, again blah, but then there is a weird medicinal aftertaste that’s a little chalky that’s an even bigger turn off. A pretty disappointing sour, if you like light sours maybe you’ll enjoy this but I wouldn’t recommend trading for it.

Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a cloudy, deep yellow with a small, pillowy, white head. The nose has a bit of lemon, yeast, oak, funk, with a strong witbier base. The flavor reminds me of a tart wit. Lots of citrus and yeast with the oak playing along and helping dry things out. Light to medium body with above average carbonation leading to a relatively short, tart finish. Rather refreshing.

AH so they fixed the lambic style, sour, tart, subtle oak notes, bretty on nose, smooth tart finish. Delicious beer, highly recommended!
