Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma was very lactic, some lemon, oak, vanilla, slight biscuit, touch of slight funk, but fairly straightforward and very sour smelling. Taste is similar, some mouth puckering sour with lots of lactic acid, hints of lemon, oak and funky notes, slight biscuit, finishing very sour, slightly funky. Nicely made, but not a lot of complexity in there.

Bottle @ Crooked Stave Reserve Society bottle share. Not sure who brought this, but I was glad to finally try it. Pours a milky yellow appearance with a white head. Tangy lemon, white wine, straw, fairly funky aroma. Barnyard, lemon zesty, kind of juicy, acidic, pineapple, quite sour flavor that has quite a burn on the finish. Pretty tasty.

Soft straw gold pour with one finger of off white head. Vinous nose, lots of acidity and funk. Estery. White wine, geueze-ish and a touch of sweet citrus. Bracing acidity in the flavor with a nice yeasty balance. Very slightly acetic quality and lots of citrus.

Draft at Capone’s on Black Friday. Poured a thicker golden body with an average to fuller foamy bright white head. Aroma is tart and fruity, notes of lemons and tangerines, bretty. The body is thin and watery with soft carbonation and an acidic feel that leaves a slight burn. Flavor is very fruity overall with notes of lime, oranges and lemons, rather tropical but the sourness also has a wet nap type flavor going on. Good stuff and very citrusy.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2013 Aroma of Apple pie filling, good sweet funk and nectarines. Pours hazy blonde with film. Taste is like Apple pie, ginger ale and champagne. Very cool sour beer. Retaste has more of an oak aged chatdonnay.

Pours cleary sappy amber with a small gray head. The aroma is my favorite part, velvety floral citus oaky notes so pleasant. The flavor is just tart enough to keep you coming back for more with a smooth delicious tangy finish.

Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, sour lemon, faint grapefruit, light vinous notes, oak, and a hint of acetone. It pours a cloudy dull orangish-gold with a minimal white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of tropical fruit and citrus. The finish has moderate-heavy sour lemon with some light acetone, oak, and and a touch of wine. It’s light bodied with minimal carbonation...almost flat. Overall, I really enjoyed this, but the mouthfeel is a little lacking.

Straw yellow, hazy. Smell of citrus peel and tropical fruit.. mango, palatable grapefruit zest. This beer got more sour as it came to room temperature. Never been to nantucket but wouldn’t mind sipping this one on the beach

Pours an entirely translucent golden straw yellow with almost no discernible carbonation. Nose is green apple and barnyard, but a bit weak, probably due to the lack of carbonation. Flavor is a wonderful green apple twang with just a bit of Belgian yeast. Unfortunately, the lack of carbonation keeps this from being a memorable beer. Maybe I just got a bad bottle.
