Sample pour of lightly hazed straw with a slight white head. Nose is funk sour, barnyard, and citrus. Flavor is dry, sour Brett, tart citrus.. Dry white wine. Pretty smooth and drinkable. Light body and crisp.

I bought this completely at random, because the bottle gave no indication of the style - but it sure turned out well! Sour flavors dominate, with the wild/funk flavor in the background and just a hint of fruit. Light and very drinkable. A great surprise.

Clear golden color beneath thin white lace. Sharp citrus zest dominates the aroma, yet this contrasts sharply with the cheesy, funky palate experience. Notes of grainy sweetness creep from the heftily soured base. Dry overall; quite nice.

Bottle: Thanks, Ed. Light yellow body, a mild haze throughout with just about no head... Surprising. Aroma of light lemon flesh, cherry skins, yogurt, & some apparent sour lactobacillus yeast. Taste is a little watery & thin compared to the "fullness" of the aroma. Lemon, hint of lactic acid but the tartness hits quick & fades out almost instantly. Mild floral notes with a faint but of wet oak & white grape in the finish. Ends abruptly, finishes quick. Dry. A good wild ale, but I wish some of those nice flavors lingered for a bit. Kind of drops off a cliff.

Fruity with a definite Chardonnay character, light sweetness, bracingly sour. Resembles a Granny Smith apple most closely. Excellent flavors but hard to drink in quantity.

Sampled at Julio’s Spring Beer Fest. Poured slightly hazy straw yellow with a short lived white head. A slight acidic quality to the aroma. Green apples, lemon zest, oak tannins and yeast. Flavor is, like the aroma, only slightly sour. Has a nice funky quality to it. Hint of barnyard, but fruity. Light bodied with a final sour kick. Sour enough, maybe, for some of my sour head friends, but not so sour that I didn’t like it.

Bomber. Mostly clear pale orange pour. Monster aroma of apple, grape, wine, some oak. Nice tart taste. Fantastic.
